East Lindsey is a local government district in Lincolnshire, England. The population of the district council was 142,300 at the 2021 census. The council is based in Horncastle having moved from its former headquarters at Manby in December 2022. Other major settlements in the district include Alford, Wragby, Spilsby, Holton le Clay, Mablethorpe, Skegness, Horncastle, Chapel St Leonards, Louth and Woodhall Spa. Skegness is the largest town in East Lindsey, followed by Louth.
The Parts of Lindsey are a traditional division of Lincolnshire, England, covering the northern part of the county. The Isle of Axholme, which is on the west side of the River Trent, has normally formed part of it. The district's name originated from the Kingdom of Lindsey of Anglo-Saxon times, whose territories were merged with that of Stamford to form Lincolnshire.

Bottesford Preceptory was sited at Bottesford, just to the south of Scunthorpe, in Lindsey, England. It was on low-lying land, near the Bottesford Beck, about 3 miles (5 km) to the west of the escarpment of the Lincoln Cliff limestone upland, and about the same distance to the east of the River Trent. A preceptory was a community of the Knights Templar who lived on one of that order's estates in the charge of its preceptor. A preceptory also referred to the estate and its buildings. The present Bottesford Manor is believed to have been the gatehouse to the preceptory.
Aby with Greenfield is a civil parish in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 Census was 196. It consists of the villages of Aby and Greenfield. The parish is situated approximately 7 miles (11 km) south-east from Louth.
Beesby with Saleby is a civil parish in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It includes Beesby and Saleby. According to the 2001 Census it had a population of 228, increasing to 258 at the 2011 Census.

New Bolingbroke railway station was a station which served the village of New Bolingbroke in East Lindsey, Lincolnshire, England. The station was on the Kirkstead and Little Steeping Railway which ran between Lincoln and Firsby. The branch line was sometimes called the "New Line". The station and line opened in 1913 and closed in 1970. The site is now occupied by a reclaimers and antiques yard.
Northorpe railway station was a railway station in Northorpe, Lincolnshire, England. It opened on 2 April 1849 and closed for passengers on 4 July 1955 and freight on 2 March 1964. Originally named Northorpe, it became Northorpe (Lincs) at some point after January 1948. Although the station is now closed, the signal box here remains in use to supervise a level crossing and passing loop on the single track section of the route between Gainsborough Central and Kirton Lindsey.
Normanby Park railway station was a goods station, built by the North Lindsey Light Railway, in Normanby, Lincolnshire, England. Situated some 1 7/8 miles from Scunthorpe it opened on 1 August 1912, the increase in traffic on the line being due to the commissioning of new blast furnaces at the nearby works of John Lysaght & Company.
Winterton and Thealby railway station was a station built by the North Lindsey Light Railway in Winterton, Lincolnshire, on their line from Scunthorpe to Winteringham. The station was opened on 3 September 1906 and closed to passengers in 1925. The line closed entirely in 1964.
Whitton railway station was a railway station, built by the North Lindsey Light Railway in Whitton, Lincolnshire. It was the northern terminus of the line from Scunthorpe railway station. It opened in 1907 and closed for passengers in 1925 and goods in 1951.
Scunthorpe railway station was a small railway station, the original southern terminus of the North Lindsey Light Railway situated adjacent to the level crossing on Dawes Lane and about 1⁄2 mile east of the present mainline station, opened in 1926, and about 1⁄8 mile east of Frodingham railway station, Scunthorpe's first station.
