Sports Board Punjab (or Punjab Sports Board) (SBP) is a sports controlling and organisations board in Punjab, Pakistan. It is running by the Government of Punjab. Its head office is located in Lahore. Its chairman is Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and director general is Muhammad Amir Jan, since October 2017 [1] Constitution of Sports Board Punjab was approved by Governor of Punjab on 8 April 1985 for the development and regulation of sports in the Province of Punjab. [2]

Organisations

Punjab Sports Festival 2012, is a sports festival held in Punjab, Pakistan. It is run by the Government of Punjab. It is a divisional, district, tehsil and union council level festival, inaugurated on February 28, 2012 by Hamza Shahbaz Sharif. It is organised by the Sports Board Punjab in Lahore.

Punjab Youth Festival

Punjab Youth Festival is a sports festival held annually in Punjab, Pakistan. Chief Minister of the Punjab Shahbaz Sharif inaugurated it on October 20, 2012. The opening ceremony was held on that day in the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore. During the ceremony, 42,813 students sang the National Anthem in what became a Guinness World Record (GWR) for the highest number of people to have ever sung a national anthem in a live gathering. The previous record had been held by India, in which fifteen thousand people had participated in an anthem singing.

Punjab International Sports Festival is a sports festival held in Punjab, Pakistan. Its inauguration ceremony was held on November 6, 2012 with the music concert. 1,381 athletes participated in the festival from 24 different countries.

The administrative units of Pakistan consist of four provinces, two autonomous territories and one federal territory. Each province and territory is subdivided into divisions, which are further subdivided into districts, which are further subdivided into tehsils, or taluka, which are further subdivided into union councils.

Punjabi University is a state university located in Patiala, Punjab, India. Punjabi University teaches and researches in science, engineering and technology, humanities, social sciences, performing arts and sports.It was established on the 30 April 1962, and is only the second university in the world to be named after a language, after Hebrew University of Israel. The Pakistan Sports Board is supported by the Pakistan Sports Trust, which assists hard up players and associations so they can continue participating in sports.

The Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering, and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) is a public research university in Quetta, Balochistan, Pakistan. The Government of Balochistan chartered the university on 18 July 2002. The university officially commenced its academic activities in October, 14th 2002 with three undergraduate programs in Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Business Administration with an initial enrollment of 90 students. The university is structured around four campuses that focus on Engineering, Information Technology Business, Arts, and Life Sciences consisting of 30 academic programs at undergraduate and graduate levels. As of spring 2017, the university has grown to a student strength of 9197, and a faculty of 600.

National Institute of Banking and Finance (Pakistan)

The National Institute of Banking and Finance (NIBAF) is a subsidiary of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) head by the Managing Director, a Board of Directors and the Governor of State Bank of Pakistan. NIBAF, a non-profit organisation, aims at providing training and development to central and commercial bankers at national as well as international level. One of its important roles is to develop human capital of SBP and its subsidiaries. It has trained 140 participants from friendly countries through 22 weeks of training during the financial year 2006-07.
