St. Francis' High School is a Pre-Prep to Class 10 school located in Hayatabad, a suburb of Peshawar. The school was founded by Brother Francis Sales Fernando in the year 1993. The school has four house sections. [1] [2] Student leadership positions include Chief Prefect, Academic Officer, Class Leader, Treasurer, and Linguistics Officer. [3] Annual events include Academics' Day (September), [4] Sports Meet (December), [5] Exhibition (February), and Class Party (April).

The Qayyum Stadium also known as Peshawar Sport Complex is located in Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan. It is the biggest sports complex in Peshawar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The sport complex has facilities for all major sports including football, field hockey, squash, wrestling and badminton. The sport complex is owned by Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It has total capacity of 30,000 and it is located within walking distance from Peshawar Saddar and Peshawar Cantonment railway station.

A suicide bomber struck AIG Ashraf Noor's car on 24 November 2017, as he was driving to work in Hayatabad, Peshawar, and the car caught fire, killing Ashraf Noor and his guard. In the attack eight others police in the AIG's squad were injured as a result of the blast and they were taken to Hayatabad Medical Complex for treatment.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Tatara Park</span>

Bagh-e-Tatara is a recreational park located in Phase 1, Hayatabad, Peshawar. Tatara Park has been developed from a garden lawn with man-made lakes, into a theme park.

On 1 December 2017, 3–4 gunmen arrived at the hostel of Agricultural Training Institute at Agricultural University Peshawar and started firing as a result of which at least 13 people were killed and 35+ were injured. Tehreek-e-Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.

Mahmood Khan is a Pakistani politician who was the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from August 2018 till January 2023 and a member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). He had been a member of the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from August 2018 till January 2023, when he, as Chief Minister, dissolved the Assembly.
