St Mark's Cathedral, Fianarantsoa is an Anglican cathedral in Fianarantsoa, Madagascar. It is under the Anglican Diocese of Fianarantsoa.

The cathedral was dedicated on 29 April 2018. [1] The founding Bishop of Fianarantsoa is Gilbert Rateloson Rakotondravelo. [2]

In 1977, he was elected to the National Assembly of Madagascar, and was also elected its president. He won reelection in 1983 and 1989, and was reelected president each year until 1991, when the National Assembly was dissolved. In addition to his political career, he was a writer and poet, best known for his work involved the oral tradition of several Malagasy ethnic groups.

Gilbert Rateloson Rakotondravelo is a Malagasy Anglican bishop. He was the elected and installed as the founding bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Fianarantsoa, Madagascar, in the Church of the Province of the Indian Ocean in 2003. In 2018, he oversaw the completion of St. Mark's Cathedral in Fianarantsoa. He succeeded James Wong as the province's archbishop and primate in 2024.
