Stand Cricket Club, established in 1853, The SCG is situated between Hamilton Road and Higher Lane in Whitefield, Bury, Greater Manchester. The club were founder members of the North Western Cricket league which formed into the Lancashire and Cheshire Cricket League until 1992 when they became a member of the Central Lancashire League between 1993 and 2004 in which Stand CC had limited success(highest position 4th 1995), moved into the Lancashire County League for the 2005 season. For the 2015 season its captain was Mark Bolton and its professional was Juan de Villiers. The club has been very successful, winning the League on 14 occasions, the Worsley Cup on 18, the Inter League Club Challenge Trophy twice in its ten-year history, and has won a greater percentage of its games than any other club. Noel Henry Cooke was an English cricketer active from 1956 to 1963 who played for Lancashire. He was born in Liverpool, joining Sefton CC as a schoolboy and making his 1st XI debut in the Liverpool and District Cricket Competition in 1952 whilst still at school and topped the Competition bowling averages in 1953 and 1955 before becoming the first player to score 500 runs and 50 wickets in the same season in 1956 and was invited to play for Lancashire 2nd XI.
Clitheroe Cricket Club is a cricket club which plays its home games at the Clitheroe Cricket Bowling & Tennis Club ground on Chatburn Road in Clitheroe, Lancashire, England. From 2017, it plays in the Lancashire League, having resigned the Ribblesdale League at the end of the 2016 season.
