Starlight Mints were an American indie pop band from Norman, Oklahoma, United States. The band was formed in the 1990s and released four albums during the 2000s, after which they disbanded. Their last lineup consisted of Allan Vest (vocals, guitar), Andy Nunez (drums), Marian Love Nunez (keyboard), Ryan Lindsey (keyboards/guitar) and Javier Gonzales (bass). Five previous members (Kevin McElhaney, James Honderich, Mary Beth Leigh, Kure Croker, Matt Goad) contributed to their sound on violin, cello, bass, voice, and drums.
Starlight Mints played their last show on December 23, 2009 at Opolis. Vocalist/Guitarist Allan Vest continues to work as a music producer and film and television score composer. Vest started doubleVee, a new project with his partner Barb Hendrickson, in 2012. Drummer Andy Nunez and keyboardist Marian Love Nunez formed a new band called A.M.P. that same year. Guitarist/keyboardist Ryan Lindsey continues to perform both as a solo artist and with the band Broncho]. Drummer Andy Nunez owns and operates the Opolis, an indie rock venue in Norman, Oklahoma. The venue hosts both local and national acts.
IQ are a British neo-progressive rock band founded by Mike Holmes and Martin Orford in 1981 following the dissolution of their original band The Lens. Although the band have never enjoyed major commercial success and had several lineup changes, IQ have built up a loyal following over the years and are still active as of 2020, currently with the original recording line-up. The indie rock band Umbrellas was formed in 2005 by former The Lyndsay Diaries frontman, Scott Windsor. After they fulfilled their contract with The Militia Group, freeing them up to record and release their Beach Front Property EP in June 2007. Their sound is, at times, very mellow and atmospheric, yet can also lean toward a more modern/electro-pop sound. With their debut album recorded in a pseudo-haunted house, and their second album recorded in an abandoned comedy club, there are auras of emptiness and darkness swirling throughout the music. Little Champions is an American indie rock band from Seattle, Washington, United States, formed in 1996. The band's founding members are Becky Harbine, Scott Harbine, and Fred Stuben (drums). Later Fred Stuben switched to guitar, and Chris Shymko was recruited to play drums. The band was signed to Barsuk Records and released its first full-length album entitled Pillow in 1999. Drummer Chris Shymko left the band not long after and was replaced by Kate Kinney. The group subsequently released their second full album on Barsuk Records. Later line-up changes include the addition of Paul Mason on second guitar, later leaving the band to form his own group, Whiskey Ship Choir; the departure of Kate Kinney and return of Chris Shymko on drums; and Eric Wolfe replacing Fred Stuben on guitar.
