The film is based on the 1979 comedy drama film Salawahan directed by Ishmael Bernal which originally starred Rita Gomez, Mat Ranillo III, Jay Ilagan, Rio Locsin, Sandy Andolong, and Bonching Miraflor. [1] [7]
