Baron Cawley, of Prestwich in the County Palatine of Lancaster, is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created in 1918 for the Liberal politician Sir Frederick Cawley, 1st Baronet. He had previously represented Prestwich in the House of Commons and served as Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster from 1916 to 1918. Before his elevation to the peerage, Cawley had been created a baronet, of Prestwich in the County Palatine of Lancaster, in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom, in 1906. His grandson, the third Baron, notably served as Deputy Chairman of Committees in the House of Lords from 1958 to 1967. As of 2023 the titles are held by the latter's eldest son, the fourth Baron, who succeeded in 2001.

USS McCawley (DD-276) was a Clemson-class destroyer built for the United States Navy during World War I. She was armed with 4 × 4 inch and 2 × 1 pounder guns. She was commissioned on 22 September 1919, served with the Pacific Fleet for 3 years and was laid up on 7 June 1922. McCawley was recommissioned on 27 September 1923, again serving in the Pacific, and decommissioned in 1930 before being sold for scrap.

Star Trek: New Voyages, known from 2008 until 2015 as Star Trek: Phase II, is a fan-created science fiction webseries set in the fictional Star Trek universe. The series was designed as a continuation of the original Star Trek, beginning in the fifth and final year of the starship Enterprise's "five-year mission." The 1977 Australian Open (December) was a tennis tournament played on outdoor grass courts in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It was the 66th edition of the tournament and was held from 19 to 31 December 1977. Due to a scheduling change two Australian Opens took place in 1977 with the first taking place in January. Vitas Gerulaitis and Evonne Goolagong Cawley won the singles titles.

Evonne Goolagong Cawley defeated Chris Evert Lloyd in the final, 6–1, 7–6(7–4) to win the ladies' singles tennis title at the 1980 Wimbledon Championships. It was her seventh and last major singles title, and Goolagong Cawley became the first mother to win the Wimbledon singles title since World War I. The second-set tiebreak was the first ever played in the ladies singles final at Wimbledon, and the match was the first ever singles final to end on a tiebreak. Goolagong Cawley was the first and only champion to defeat four top ten ranked players en route to victory.

The Pennsylvania lieutenant gubernatorial election of 2014 took place on November 4, 2014, to elect the Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania. In Pennsylvania, the winners of the lieutenant gubernatorial primary elections join the ticket of their party's gubernatorial nominee.

The 1977 New South Wales Open, also known by its sponsored name Marlboro New South Wales Open, was a combined men's and women's tennis tournament played on outdoor grass courts at the White City Stadium in Sydney, Australia. The men's was part of the 1977 Colgate-Palmolive Grand Prix circuit. It was the 85th edition of the event and was held from 12 December through 18 January 1977. The singles titles were won by Evonne Goolagong Cawley and Roscoe Tanner. Defending champion Tony Roche was unable to participate due to a stomach muscle injury.

Evonne Goolagong Cawley and Peggy Michel were the reigning champions. Michel did not defend her title. Goolagong Cawley competed alongside Helen Gourlay – this pair won the tournament.

Helen Cawley and JoAnne Russell were the defending champions, but lost in the quarterfinals to Françoise Dürr and Virginia Wade.
