Steven Johnson is an American film and TV producer. He is best known for producing several of Lady Gaga's early music videos, [1] , including Paparazzi , Judas , Marry The Night , and Born This Way . For these, he won two MTV Music Video Awards and two iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards. [1] [2] For Gaga he also produced A Very Gaga Thanksgiving [3] for ABC and Lady Gaga Presents the Monster Ball Tour: At Madison Square Garden for HBO. [1]

Career

In 2003, Johnson started his own production company, Factory Features, which later became known as Factory Films. [1] During this time, Johnson produced some of the most popular music videos of the last decade, including; Sensual Seduction for Snoop Dogg, [4] and Baby for Justin Bieber. [5]

In 2013, Johnson joined Tobey Maguire's production company, Material Pictures, as Head of Physical Production. [6] While there, he line produced the film Z for Zachariah in 2015. [7]

Johnson later joined 21st Century Fox as a VP of Production and served as VP of TV Physical Production at MRC, where he worked on Ozark and The Great , two Emmy-winning series. [8]

From 2020 to 2023, Johnson was Senior Vice President of Physical Production at MGM Television, where he most notably served as co-executive producer on the NBC Peacock series Last Light. As of February 2023, Johnson is currently Executive Vice President at Alcon Entertainment. [8]
