Storhamar

Storhamar is a neighborhood of Hamar, Norway, west of the town center and formerly in the municipality Vang. It is the location of the distillery Arcus, the national lottery Norsk Tipping and the Hamar Olympic Amphitheatre sports venue. Norwegian sports club Storhamar IL comes from the area.

Hamar[ˈhɑ̂ːmɑr](listen) is a town in Hamar Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Hedmarken. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Hamar. The municipality of Hamar was separated from Vang as a town and municipality of its own in 1849. Briskeby Arena

Briskeby Arena, previously known as Briskeby gressbane, is an all-seater football stadium located at Briskebyen in Hamar, Norway. It is home to the Norwegian First Division side Hamarkameratene (Ham-Kam) and is owned by Hamar Municipality. The venue has artificial turf, three stands and a capacity for 8,068 spectators. It was used for the 1938 Norwegian Football Cup Final—which saw the venue's record 14,500 spectators—and has also hosted five Norway national under-21 football team matches between 1984 and 2011.

Patrick Thoresen Norwegian ice hockey player

Patrick Thoresen is a Norwegian professional ice hockey left winger who is currently playing for the Storhamar Dragons in the GET-ligaen. He resides in Hamar, Norway, where he grew up, during the off season. He has a younger brother, Steffen who's also an ice hockey player. His father Petter was one of Norway's most notable players who played at five Olympic Winter Games (1980–1994). Thoresen would follow in his father's footsteps and play in the Winter Olympics in Vancouver 2010 and Sochi 2014.

CC Amfi

CC Amfi, also known as Nordlyshallen, is an indoor sports arena in Hamar, Norway. It is mostly used for ice hockey and is the home arena of Storhamar Hockey. It has also been used for short track speed skating, figure skating, handball, events and concerts. The venue has a capacity for 7,000 spectators and was built for the 1994 Winter Olympics, where it was used for short track speed skating and figure skating. Other major events held at the arena include the 1999 IIHF World Championship in ice hockey, the 1999 World Women's Handball Championship, the 2012 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships and the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics.

Storhamar Ishockey

Storhamar Ishockey, often referred to by its initials SIL, is a Norwegian ice hockey team based in Hamar, Norway. The club currently plays in the GET-ligaen, the highest level of Norwegian hockey. The club has won seven regular season titles and seven national championships since its founding on 18 March 1957. Storhamar play their home games in the CC Amfi. The club also includes the largest junior department in Norwegian ice hockey. The team colours are yellow and blue.

Hedmark University of Applied Sciences was a høgskole, a Norwegian state institution of higher education, in the county of Innlandet, Norway. The college's four campuses are located in Hamar, Elverum, Åmot (Rena) and Stor-Elvdal. It was established 1 August 1994, and had approximately 5,250 students and 450 employees. From 1 January 2017 Hedmark University of Applied Sciences and Lillehammer University College were merged into the new institution, Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences.

The 2007–08 GET-ligaen season began on 13 September 2007 and was scheduled to end 21 February 2008. The Storhamar Dragons won the championships for the sixth time. The win also marked the fourth championship in as many leap years for the Dragons.

The 2003–04 Eliteserien season ended with Storhamar Dragons claiming their fifth Norwegian title after defeating Vålerenga in double overtime in game 7. Michael Smithurst scored the game winner nearly two minutes into the second extra period in front of 7,405 spectators.

The 1995 European Cup was the 31st edition of the European Cup, IIHF's premier European club ice hockey tournament. The season started on September, 1995, and finished on December 30, 1995.

Pål "Magic" Johnsen is a retired Norwegian hockey player, who most of his career played for the Storhamar Dragons in the GET-ligaen. Johnsen made his debut for the senior team as a 16-year-old in December, 1992 against Hasle/Løren. Since then was loyal to Storhamar except for two seasons in Sweden with Leksands IF and Skellefteå AIK 2000–02. Johnsen got 48 official games for the national team, and received the Golden Puck award as the Norwegian player of the year in 2000.

Elise Skinnehaugen is a Norwegian handball player for Storhamar HE.

Storhamar Håndball Elite is the women's handball team of the Norwegian multi-sports club Storhamar IL based in Hamar. The team plays in Eliteserien, the top division in the country, since its promotion in 2016.
