Summer Hymns is a band based in Athens, Georgia.
Summer Hymns was formed in 1997 by singer/guitarist Zachary Gresham and drummer Philip Brown, both formerly of mid-1990s Athens favorites, Joe Christmas. Guitarist Bren Mead, of Masters of the Hemisphere, bassist Derek Almstead and keyboardist Dottie Alexander, both from Of Montreal, and multi-instrumentalist Adrian Finch completed the early lineup. The debut Summer Hymns single, "Half Sick of Shadows" b/w "Lucky" was released by Made in Mexico in 1999.
Summer Hymns' first full-length, Voice Brother and Sister was released by Misra Records to widespread critical acclaim in 2000. A Celebratory Arm Gesture was released in spring 2001. A year later, Summer Hymns underwent a personnel shift and comprised Gresham, Brown, and Matt Dawson (bass) and Matt "Pistol" Stoessel (pedal steel guitar). The new Summer Hymns lineup recorded the band's third album, Clemency, with Lambchop's Mark Nevers in 2003. New songs written in 2003 while awaiting the release of Clemency were collected an EP, Value Series, Vol. 1: Fools Gold, released in late 2003. Two years later, in November 2006, after another major personnel change, Summer Hymns released Backward Masks, again on Misra. It featured the debut of ex-Pine State guitarist Chris Riser on bass and keys.
The core trio's live show is often augmented with additional musicians, including Brian Nuse on guitar and percussion, Jimmy Hughes (Elf Power, Folklore) on guitar, David Specht (Quiet Hooves) on keyboard, and Aaron Jolley (Folklore, Dark Meat, The Lickety Splits) on horns and percussion.
The Ataris are an American rock band from Anderson, Indiana. Formed in 1996, they released five studio albums between 1997 and 2007. Their best-selling album is So Long, Astoria (2003), which was certified gold. Their high-charting single is the cover song "The Boys of Summer" from So Long, Astoria. The only constant member throughout their history has been singer/songwriter/guitarist Kristopher Roe.
Christian Death is an American gothic rock band formed in Orange County, California, in 1979 by Rozz Williams. With major line-up changes over the years, Christian Death has retained "a relentlessly confrontational stand against organized religion and conventional morality".
Rozz Williams was an American musician, poet, artist, and performance artist. Most known for his work with the bands Christian Death, Shadow Project, and with the industrial project Premature Ejaculation. Christian Death is cited by some as a pioneer of the American gothic rock scene as well as deathrock, and is considered to be one of the most influential figures of the scene. However, Williams disliked the "goth" label and actively worked to shed it during the 1980s and 1990s by focusing on punk rock, hard rock, cabaret, and spoken word music. Williams was also involved with Daucus Karota, Heltir, EXP, Bloodflag, and his own version of Christian Death, along with recording a handful of solo albums. Williams was also an avid painter, poet, and collage artist, with many of his works now owned by private collectors and on display at art exhibits. Some of his poetry has been published since his death, and his original suicide note, titled "December 30, 1334," is on display with his urn at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
Return to Forever is an American jazz fusion band that was founded by pianist Chick Corea in 1971. The band has had many members, with the only consistent bandmate of Corea's being bassist Stanley Clarke. With Weather Report, The Headhunters, and Mahavishnu Orchestra, Return to Forever is often cited as one of the core groups of the jazz-fusion movement of the 1970s. Several musicians, including Clarke, Flora Purim, Airto Moreira and Al Di Meola, came to prominence through their performances on Return to Forever albums.
The (International) Noise Conspiracy were a Swedish rock band formed in Sweden in the late months of 1998. The line-up consists of Dennis Lyxzén (vocals), Inge Johansson (bass), Lars Strömberg (guitar), and Ludwig Dahlberg (drums). The band is known for its punk and garage rock musical influences, and its impassioned left-wing political stance. Up until 2004, guitarist/organist/keyboardist Sara Almgren was also a member of the band. Dennis formed The (I)NC almost immediately after the breakup of his former band, Refused. The (I)nc takes pride in blending the roots of at least four other bands, including Totalt Jävla Mörker (Johansson), Separation (Strömberg), Saidiwas, and Doughnuts (Almgren). In 2007, Inge Johansson also played in the band The Most.
T.S.O.L. is an American punk rock band formed in 1978 in Long Beach, California. Although most commonly associated with hardcore punk, T.S.O.L.'s music has varied on each release, including such styles as deathrock, art punk, horror punk and other varieties of punk music.
Tears for the Dying is an American deathrock band that began life as a side project in 1997 by bassist and guitarist Adria Stembridge. Stembridge previously played in Athens, Georgia bands Vomit Thrower, The Endless and The Girl Pool during the nineties and aughts.

Brown Brigade was a reggae-influenced heavy metal band created by then-former Sum 41 guitarist Dave "Brownsound" Baksh, after leaving Sum 41 in 2006. The band's final line-up was Baksh himself,, Vaughn Lal, Johnny Owens (drums), Chuck Coles (guitar), and Cess Rock. Baksh returned to Sum 41 in 2015.
Far-Less was a five-piece post-hardcore band originally from Marion, Virginia, with members from Marion and other surrounding areas, including Pulaski and Blacksburg. They were signed to Tooth & Nail Records. Far-less played their final show on August 14, 2009, at the Greene Street Club in Greensboro, NC.
