"Summer Special: Pinocchio / Hot Summer" is the first Japanese physical single by South Korean girl group f(x). The single was recorded in 2011 and released on July 22, 2015 by Avex Trax. [1] [2] [3]
A teaser video for the music video of Hot Summer was released on August 1, 2012, via Avex's official YouTube channel.[ citation needed ] The full video subsequently appeared online a few days later on August 5, 2012.[ citation needed ]
The video is set in a desert, with pink and white star shaped props and pink cotton candy as clouds in the background. The video begins with the group wearing all white, walking slowly towards the camera. The video then cuts to another set with close-up shots of the group revealing electric blue outfits, topped with elaborate accessories. A street scene is also featured, where the group wears red outfits in front of the star-shaped prop while throwing paint over the buildings and at the camera. The video ends with the desert as the camera pans back.
On May 30, 2015, SM Entertainment announced that the group will release their first Japanese single titled "Summer Special: Pinocchio / Hot Summer", on July 22, 2015. The single will contain the Japanese versions of Pinocchio (Danger) and Hot Summer. The DVD will contain the Japanese music videos of these two songs.
At the event held in Osaka, on July 22, 2015, for the release of the single, only Krystal, Luna and Amber were present. [4] Victoria was absent due to health reasons [5] and her activities in China; [6] she also had a commitment with the filming of the 2016 remake of My Best Friend's Wedding in England. [7] [8] [9] At the time of the release, Sulli had still not returned from her break. [10]
A few days later, on August 7, it was announced that Sulli had officially withdrawn from the group to focus on an acting career, and that the group will continue to promote as four members with SM managing Sulli's acting endeavors. [11] [12]
The single peaked at #23 on the Oricon Weekly Chart and sold a total of 6,199 copies.

Pink Tape is the second studio album by South Korean girl group f(x). The album was released on July 29, 2013, by SM Entertainment. Pink Tape is the first studio album by f(x) in over two years, the last being the repackage of their first album Hot Summer in 2011, and their first Korean release in over a year since 2012's Electric Shock. The album peaked at the number-one position on multiple music charts internationally, including Billboard's World Albums and South Korea's Gaon charts.
"Hot Summer" is a song by German pop group Monrose. It was written and produced by Danish musicians Remee Sigvardt and Thomas Troelsen and recorded by the trio for their second studio album, Strictly Physical (2007). A dance-pop song with heavy elements of electropop, house and sprechgesang, it was selected out of sereral hundreds of songs and set much of the tone of its parent album, which was chiefly produced by Remee and Troelsen. "Hot Summer" also introduced a stronger dance pop edge to Monrose's overall sound. Lyrically, it features a female protagonist expressing her desire for her love interest.
Choi Jin-ri, better known by her stage name Sulli, was a South Korean singer and actress. She first made her debut as a child actress, appearing as a supporting cast member on the SBS historical drama Ballad of Seodong (2005). Dimension 4 – Docking Station was the debut concert tour of South Korean girl group f(x) launched in support of their fourth studio album, 4 Walls. It consisted of three shows in Seoul, South Korea, and eight shows throughout Japan. The tour commenced at the Olympic Hall in Seoul, and concluded at the Yokohama Arena in Yokohama, Japan. A concert DVD, f(x) Dimension 4 – Docking Station in Japan, was released on July 6, 2016, in Japan.
