Swedish Bandy Hall of Fame was created in 2012 by the Swedish Bandy Association. A number of former bandy players and leaders are inducted every year. [1]

The Swedish Bandy Association is the governing body of bandy in Sweden. It organizes the bandy leagues, Elitserien and Allsvenskan for men and Damallsvenskan for women, and the men's and women's national teams. It was established in Stockholm on 5 April 1925, and is based in Stockholm, after moving from Katrineholm. It is a founding member of FIB, Federation of International Bandy.

Nils Erik Liedholm was a Swedish football midfielder and coach. Il Barone, as he is affectionately known in Italy, was renowned for being part of the Swedish "Gre-No-Li" trio of strikers along with Gunnar Gren and Gunnar Nordahl at A.C. Milan and the Swedish national team, with which he achieved notable success throughout his career. Liedholm was an intelligent offensive playmaker who was renowned for his excellent range of passing and precise crossing ability throughout his career, as well as his vision, tactical awareness, control, class, and his elegant style of play; he is regarded as one of Milan's and Sweden's greatest ever players, and considered one of the best players of the post-war era. As a coach, he was in charge of several teams in Italy, managing for nearly four decades; he is regarded as one of the most successful managers in Italian football history. At the end of the 20th century Liedholm was voted the best Swedish player of the millennium by the readers of Sweden's largest newspaper, Aftonbladet.

Stockholm Olympic Stadium, most often called Stockholms stadion or simply Stadion, is a stadium in Stockholm, Sweden. Designed by architect Torben Grut, it was opened in 1912, its original use was as a venue for the 1912 Olympic Games. At the 1912 Games, it hosted the athletics, some of the equestrian, some of the football, gymnastics, the running part of the modern pentathlon, tug of war, and wrestling events. It has a capacity of 13,145–14,500 depending on usage and a capacity of nearly 33,000 for concerts.

Björn Axel Göte Nordqvist is a former football defender from Sweden. During the 1960s and 1970s he was the Swedish national team captain. He played at the 1970 FIFA World Cup, 1974 FIFA World Cup and 1978 FIFA World Cup and in total amassed 115 international matches, which was a world record at the time. Nordqvist has later been surpassed even as Swedish record holder, by Thomas Ravelli and others.

Lugnet is a large sport complex located in Falun, Sweden. 58 of the Swedish Sports Confederation's 67 special sports can be practiced there. There are six full sized indoor pitches in the area where everything from dance to association football can be played or performed. There are also two swimming pools, a tennis hall, an athletics arena, an ice arena including one indoor ice hockey rink, an outdoor ice hockey rink, a bandy field and a curling hall. Lugnet is also Sweden's national cross-country skiing and ski jumping centre and often hosts one part of the FIS Cross-Country World Cup. Several FIS Nordic World Ski Championships have been organised here. The latest one in 2015.

2010 Womens Bandy World Championship 2010 edition of the Womens Bandy World Championship

The Bandy World Championship for women 2010 was contested between 6 bandy playing countries. The championship was played in Drammen, Norway from 24 to 27 February. Sweden defeated Russia, 3-2 following overtime, in the final game.

Sune Almkvist was a Swedish bandy player, hockey player and footballer. He was inducted with the number 1 in the Swedish Bandy Hall of Fame in 2011.

Sweden women's national bandy team represent Sweden in the Women's Bandy World Championship. The team is controlled by the Swedish Bandy Association.

Finlands Bandy Association governing body for the sport of bandy in Finland

Finland's Bandy Association is the governing body for the sport of bandy in Finland. Bandy was one of the sports for which the Ball Association of Finland, founded in 1907, was created. The present Finnish Bandy Association was founded on 18 March 1972, to take over bandy from the Ball Association of Finland, which from then on concentrated on association football only.

IFK Kungälv sports club in Kungälv, Sweden

IFK Kungälv is a sports club in Kungälv in Sweden, founded in 1940, and mostly concentrated on the sport of bandy. The club has been playing in the Swedish bandy top division Elitserien for many seasons, at present since 2008/09.

Bandy World Championship for youth teams are held in a number of age classes for boys and young men and in one age class for girls playing bandy. The tournaments are governed by the Federation of International Bandy.

IF Vesta is a sports club in Uppsala, Sweden, established on 8 June 1911. The club runs bandy and soccer, earlier even bandy and floorball.

Sten-Ove Ramberg, also known as Putte Ramberg, is a Swedish retired footballer. He made 250 league appearances for Hammarby IF and scored 14 goals. He also made 27 appearances for the Swedish national side, scoring three times.
