Singapore Changi Airport, commonly known as Changi Airport, is a major civilian airport that serves Singapore, and is one of the largest transportation hubs in Asia. It is currently rated the World's Best Airport by Skytrax for the seventh consecutive year since 2013. It is also the first Airport in the world to do so for seven consecutive years and is one of the world's busiest airports by international passenger and cargo traffic. The airport is located in Changi, at the eastern end of Singapore, approximately 20 kilometres northeast from Marina Bay, on a 13-square-kilometre (5.0 sq mi) site. Runway 02L/20R is known as Runway 1, 02C/20C as Runway 2, and 02R/20L as Runway 3. The airport is operated by Changi Airport Group and it is the home base of Singapore Airlines, Singapore Airlines Cargo, SilkAir, Scoot, Jetstar Asia Airways and BOC Aviation.
The Kuala Lumpur–Singapore high-speed rail (HSR) railway is a postponed project to link Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Singapore via a high-speed rail line. It was announced by then Malaysian's Prime Minister, Najib Razak, in September 2010. Singapore's Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong, officially agreed in February 2013 to go ahead and the HSR project is expected to be completed by 2026. However, after the defeat of Najib Razak in Malaysia's Prime Minister elections in May 2018, his successor, Mahathir Mohamad initially announced that the project would be scrapped. However, during a visit to Japan on 12 June 2018, Mahathir said that the project was not scrapped but merely postponed due to high costs. On 5 September 2018, it was announced that the HSR operations will start in January 2031.
Joseph Isaac Schooling is a Singaporean swimmer. He was the gold medalist in the 100m butterfly at the 2016 Olympics, attaining Singapore's first-ever Olympic medal in swimming. His winning time of 50.39 seconds is a National, Southeast Asian, Asian and Olympic record.

Singapore competed at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships in Kazan, Russia from 24 July to 9 August 2015. This was the first time Singapore won a medal at the World Aquatics Championship, with Joseph Schooling winning bronze in the Men's 100 m butterfly event.
