Saint Julian's is a town in the Central Region of Malta. As of 2020, its registered number of inhabitants stands at 13,792. It is situated along the coast, north of the country's capital, Valletta. Mtarfa F.C. is a football club from Mtarfa, the home of a former big British forces barracks area in central Malta. Founded in 2006, the club took part for the first time in their history in the 2007/2008 season. They entered the Malta Football Association in lieu of Ta' Xbiex S.C., who lost their status due consistently poor results in the lowest of Maltese divisions. They currently play in the Maltese National Amateur League B. They also play in the annual Maltese FA Trophy.
Local elections were held in Malta on 8 March 2008, the same day of the general election. This year, the election was held in 23 of the 68 Maltese localities. These 23 localities are: Valletta, Senglea, Żebbuġ, Żejtun, Balzan, Dingli, Fontana, Għajnsielem, Għasri, Iklin, Kirkop, Marsa, Mellieħa, Mqabba, Nadur, Pembroke, Qrendi, San Ġiljan, San Pawl il-Baħar, Santa Venera, Ta' Xbiex, Xewkija and Żurrieq. A separate local election was held on 24 May in Mtarfa, after the previous council was dissolved a monthly earlier. 12 candidates contested the election, in which 3 councillors were elected for the Nationalist Party while 2 councillors were elected for the Malta Labour Party (MLP).
In Malta most of the main roads are in the outskirts of the localities to connect one urban area with another urban area. The most important roads are those that connect the south of the island with the northern part, like Tal-Barrani Road, Aldo Moro Street in Marsa and Birkirkara Bypass.

Sliema Aquatic Sports Club is a waterpolo club from Sliema, Malta, playing in the Maltese Waterpolo Premier League. The club was founded in 1912 and is the most successful in Malta, with 31 championships and 25 Knock-out Cups.
Villino Ellul or Villa Ellul is a Modernist villa in Ta' Xbiex, Malta. It was designed and built in the 1930s by the architect Salvatore Ellul as his personal villa, and it was one of the first Modernist buildings to be built on the island. The building has been restored and converted into offices, and it is now known as Dixcart House.
District 9 is an electoral district in Malta. It was established in 1962. Its boundaries have changed many times but it currently consists of the localities of Għargħur, Msida, San Ġwann, Swieqi and Ta' Xbiex.

Ta' Xbiex Sports Club is a Maltese sports club that plays football in the National Amateur League, from the central locality of Ta' Xbiex. They finished seventh in group A, in the inaugural Amateur League season. Ta' Xbiex was previously represented in the Third Division by Ta' Xbiex F.C. until they were removed from the league and replaced by Mtarfa F.C. after a string of poor performances.
