Takenouchi Yasunori (1806 - March 3, 1867) was a Japanese Samurai Lord during Bakumatsu period.

Takenouchi was governor of Shimotsuke Province, and in 1862 became the head of the Japanese mission to Europe. In 1864, he retired from active government service.

Cromartie High School is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Eiji Nonaka. It was serialized in Kodansha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Magazine from August 2000 to May 2006, with its chapters collected in 18 tankōbon volumes. Takeuchi is a Japanese surname. It is common in west-central Japan, and is pronounced Takenouchi (Take-no-uchi) by some bearers. The family claims descent from the legendary hero-statesman Takenouchi-no-Sukune, himself supposedly a descendant of the mythical Emperor Kōgen and a counselor to several other emperors, including Emperor Ōjin. Other families such as the Soga clan also claim Takenouchi-no-Sukune as an ancestor. It can also be written as 竹野内.

Hinoshita Torite Kaisan Takenouchi-ryū is one of the oldest jujutsu koryū in Japan. It was founded in 1532, the first year of Tenbun, on the twenty-fourth of the sixth lunar month by Takenouchi Chūnagon Daijō Nakatsukasadaiyū Hisamori, the lord of Ichinose Castle in Sakushū. Although it is famous for its jūjutsu, Takenouchi Ryū is actually a complete martial art, including armed grappling, staff (bōjutsu), sword (kenjutsu), sword drawing (iaijutsu), glaive (naginatajutsu), iron fan (tessenjutsu), restraining rope (hojōjutsu), and resuscitation techniques (sakkatsuhō). Its jūjutsu techniques have been influential in the founding of many other schools in Japan. Takenouchi Ryū is still actively transmitted today by members of the Takenouchi family, as well as by other groups both within and outside Japan.

Azumi-no-isora is a shinto kami of the seashore. He is considered to be the ancestor of the Azumi people. He is worshiped at a number of shrines, including Mekari Shrine (和布刈神社) of Kitakyushu, Shika no Umi shrine on Shika Island, and Shiga Shrine (志賀神社) of Tsushima.
