The film also provides commentary on the extensive usage of social media and the obsession with internet fame.
Cougar Town is an American television sitcom that ran for 102 episodes over six seasons, from September 23, 2009, until March 31, 2015. The first three seasons aired on ABC, with the series moving to TBS for the remaining three seasons. ABC officially gave the series a full season pickup on October 8, 2009. The Death of "Superman Lives": What Happened? is a 2015 American documentary film written and directed by Jon Schnepp and produced by Holly Payne. It chronicles the behind-the-scenes events surrounding the cancelled Tim Burton film Superman Lives. Funding for the documentary was partially raised through a successful Kickstarter campaign. It premiered on May 1, 2015 and was released through video on demand on July 9 the same year. While physical media releases are out of print following Schnepp’s passing, the documentary and all supplemental material are still available to purchase digitally.
