To celebrate this heritage, Kennett Square has an annual Mushroom Festival, where the town shuts down to have a parade, tour mushroom farms, and buy and sell food and other goods. It is also home to the corporate headquarters of Genesis HealthCare which administers elderly care facilities. Located in the Delaware Valley, Kennett Square is considered a suburb of both Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Wilmington, Delaware. The local high school is Kennett High School. The last official US census, which occurred in 2020, recorded a population of 5,943 in Kennett Square.

Brighton Seminole Indian Reservation is an Indian reservation of the Seminole Tribe of Florida, located in northeast Glades County near the northwest shore of Lake Okeechobee. A table reservation is an arrangement made in advance to have a table available at a restaurant. While most restaurants in the vast majority of the world do not require a reservation, and some do not have a policy or simply any channel for making one, so-called higher-end restaurants mainly in overcrowded cities often require a reservation, and some may have tables booked for weeks in advance. At particularly exclusive venues, it may be impossible to make a reservation on the same day as the planned visit.

The Spruce Street Harbor Park is an urban park located in Penn's Landing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Open during the summer, the place features a boardwalk along the Delaware River with a beachfront atmosphere. Fireworks were planned around the Independence Day holiday, though the main fireworks were scheduled for the Ben Franklin Parkway on July 4 itself.
