Midget cars, also speedcars in Australia, is a class of racing cars. The cars are very small with a very high power-to-weight ratio and typically use four cylinder engines. They originated in the United States in the 1930s and are raced on most continents. There is a worldwide tour and national midget tours in the United States, Australia, and New Zealand.
Russell Ingall is a former full-time Australian V8 Supercar driver. Ingall became the V8 Supercar Champion in 2005, he was also the Championship runner up in 1998, 1999, 2001 and 2004. Ingall has also won the Bathurst 1000 motor race twice, in 1995 and 1997. His particular driving style earned him the nickname "Enforcer".

The 2008 V8 Supercar Championship Series was the tenth V8 Supercar Championship Series and the twelfth series in which V8 Supercars contested the premier Australian touring car title. The championship began on 21 February at the Clipsal 500 on the streets of Adelaide and finished on 7 December at Oran Park Raceway. It consisted of 14 rounds covering all states and the Northern Territory of Australia as well as rounds in New Zealand and Bahrain.
Supercheap Auto Racing has been the sponsored identity of several Australian based racing teams since the mid-1990s when automotive parts retail chain Supercheap Auto began sponsoring motor racing teams. The identity has travelled from one racing team to another as the chain transferred its sponsorship. The current holder of the Supercheap Auto Racing identity is Supercars Championship team Tickford Racing.
The 2002 V8 Supercar Championship Series was an Australian based motor racing series for V8 Supercars. It began on 15 March 2002 at the Adelaide Street Circuit and ended on 1 December at Sandown International Raceway after 13 rounds. It was the fourth V8 Supercar Championship Series but the first to carry that name, previous championships having been contested as the "Shell Championship Series". The winner of the Drivers Championship, Mark Skaife, was also awarded the 43rd Australian Touring Car Championship.
John Murray Faulkner is a retired racing driver. Faulkner spent the majority of his career in sedan based classes. Initially he competing in small touring cars including Ford Escorts and Capris before joining Toyota Team Australia and driving their factory supported Toyota Corolla touring cars. After engine capacity classes were discontinued in the Australian Touring Car Championship, Faulkner moved into Superspeedway racing, establishing John Faulkner Racing to compete in the AUSCAR and Australian NASCAR series, contested mainly at the Calder Park Thunderdome. As NASCAR declined in Australia, Faulkner returned to the Australian Touring Car Championship partway through 1996, and was a surprise starter in the 1996 Bathurst 1000, competing with an ex-Holden Racing Team Holden Commodore, before later constructing his own Holdens. Faulkner's team gradually wound down and left the main series after the 2002 V8 Supercar season. The team continued running Commodores in the second tier Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series until the end of the 2004 season, including briefly running the Holden Young Lions identity.
Robert Dahlgren is a Swedish auto racing driver who currently competes for the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship. He previously competed in Australia and New Zealand for a single season in the V8 Supercars Championship for Garry Rogers Motorsport, as well as in the World and for Polestar Racing, making him the longest-serving factory-supported Volvo driver.

It began on 19 March at the Clipsal 500 on the streets of Adelaide and ended on 6 December at the Homebush Street Circuit and consisted of 26 races over 14 events which were held in all states and the Northern Territory of Australia as well as New Zealand. The 50th Australian Touring Car Championship title was awarded to the winner of the series by the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport.

The Super3 Series is an Australian motor racing competition for touring cars. It is effectively a third tier series for Supercars competitors. While the vehicles and the series itself is not officially associated with V8 Supercars and its teams and series, the cars must be deregistered cars from official V8 Supercar teams and series. This is mainly as a preventative measure against a team building a brand new car to suit the regulations. The series is currently known by the commercial identity of the Kumho Tyres V8 Touring Car Series.
Briggs Motor Sport was an Australian motor racing team which has represented Queensland based businessman John Briggs in motor racing. The team has competed in Sports Sedans, Australian GT, Formula Holden, and most notably as a touring car team competing in the V8 Supercar Championship Series. The team last competed in historic motor racing and the Australian GT Championship but was folded at the end of the 2009 season.
Luke Youlden is an Australian motor racing driver. He is the son of two-time Australian Production Car champion Kent Youlden. Youlden drives for Erebus Motorsport as a co-driver alongside David Reynolds in the Pirtek Enduro Cup. Outside racing, Youlden works at a performance driving school with fellow Supercars racer Dean Canto. He co-drove to victory with David Reynolds in the 2017 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.
The 2011 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 was an Australian touring car motor race for V8 Supercars. The race was on Sunday, 9 October 2011 at the Mount Panorama Circuit just outside Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia and was Race 20 of the 2011 International V8 Supercars Championship. It was the fifteenth running of the Australian 1000 race, first held after the organisational split over the Bathurst 1000 that occurred in 1997. It was also the 55th race for which the lineage can be traced back to the 1960 Armstrong 500 held at Phillip Island.
