Terence Nicholas Lazard (born 19 October 1965) is a South African entrepreneur and former cricketer. He played for Western Province, Eastern Province and Boland teams.
Born and raised in Cape Town, Lazard has two brothers and one sister. His parents were both doctors and after completing high school, he enrolled at the University of Cape Town in 1984 to study medicine.
In the 1980s, Lazard got involved in and played professional cricket. He played as a batsman for South Africa's Western Province cricket team from 1983 until 1995 and for Boland. The highlight of Lazard's cricket career was breaking the South African record by scoring 307 runs in 1983/84 during a Boland versus Western Province pre-season friendly game.

Lazard retired from cricket in 1995 to pursue a career in business. He has founded a number of businesses, including Cell Shack, Retail Mobile Credit Specialists, KLT holdings and BetKing.

Boland is a first-class cricket team that nominally represents the Boland region, in the South African province of Western Cape, in the CSA Provincial Competitions. The team is selected and supported by the Boland Cricket Board (BCB) and plays its home games at Boland Park in Paarl. At organisational level, the BCB is responsible for the administration and development of cricket in the region and among its primary functions are management and promotion of the Boland team. The current BCB was founded in 1992 as a merger between the Boland Cricket Union and an earlier Boland Cricket Board.

The current Western Province team was re-formed for the 2021/22 season after the previous franchise structure was disbanded following CSA domestic reorganisation. Whereas many teams opted to keep their former franchise brands, Cape Cobras elected to return to their traditional name.

The 2019–20 CSA 3-Day Provincial Cup was a first-class cricket competition that took place in South Africa from October 2019 to April 2020. On 16 March 2020, Cricket South Africa suspended all cricket in the country for 60 days due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 24 March 2020, Easterns and KwaZulu-Natal were named as the joint-winners of the tournament. KwaZulu-Natal finished top of group B, with Easterns named joint-winners despite not topping their group, but played one match fewer than other teams, with their victory coming via an average points calculation. This was following the recommendations made by Graeme Smith, the acting Director of Cricket.
Willem Maré van der Merwe is a South African orthopaedic surgeon and former cricketer. van der Merwe was a professional cricketer in South Africa from 1978 to 1987, playing predominantly for Orange Free State and Western Province. He later played first-class cricket in England for Oxford University and has since become a surgeon. He is the current president of the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS).
The 2019–20 CSA Provincial T20 Cup was a domestic Twenty cricket tournament that took place in South Africa in September 2019, as a curtain-raiser to the 2019–20 South African domestic season. It was played between the thirteen South African provincial teams, along with Limpopo and Mpumalanga. This was the sixth edition of the CSA Provincial T20 Cup, which was last played in the 2015–16 season. With only domestic teams from South Africa taking part, the tournament returned in place of the Africa T20 Cup, which had been held since 2015.
