Hemispheres is the sixth studio album by Canadian rock band Rush, released in October 1978 by Anthem Records. After touring to support the band's previous release, A Farewell to Kings, during which the group gained popularity in the UK, Rush started work on their next album. As with the band's previous studio album, Hemispheres was recorded at Rockfield Studios in Monmouthshire and Trident Studios in London with longtime engineer and arranger, Terry Brown. Rush continued its progressive rock sound with the side-long "Cygnus X-1 Book II: Hemispheres" and the nine-minute instrumental "La Villa Strangiato".
Peng! is the debut studio album by English-French rock band Stereolab. It was released on 26 May 1992 by Too Pure in the United Kingdom. The album was issued in the United States on 13 June 1995 by Too Pure and American Recordings. A remastered edition of the album was released on 9 November 2018 by Too Pure and Beggars Arkive.

Rake. was an art rock/noise rock musical ensemble from Northern Virginia, founded in 1989. Not aligned with the post-punk/hardcore bands more commonly associated with the local underground music scene, Rake. took a more experimental route and were more closely associated with fellow Virginia-based bands Pelt and Wingtip Sloat. Throughout the 1990s, a relationship cemented via their principal label, VHF Records.

Deep Space/Virgin Sky is a 1995 album by Jefferson Starship recorded live at the House of Blues in West Hollywood on the Sunset Strip. The concert was performed as a benefit memorial for violinist Papa John Creach, who had died in 1994, with proceeds going to his family.
"Doghouse" is a song by American band No Doubt from their independent second studio album, The Beacon Street Collection (1995). Produced by the band, it was written by member Eric Stefani and released as the album's second and final single in late 1994. The band recorded "Doghouse" in their garage following Interscope Records's refusal to provide them funding and professional studio time. No Doubt used the proceeds from their concerts to create a 7" single for "Squeal" and "Doghouse". 1,000 copies of the single were distributed as part of the group's Beacon Street Records label.

Production of the song was handled by the former two. The song was released as the third single from Moon Safari on 9 November 1998.

Animal Justice is the first EP by Welsh musician John Cale. It was released in September 1977 by record label Illegal. "Chickenshit" was Cale's response to his decapitation of a chicken during a gig in Croydon on April 24, 1977. This prompted the vegetarian rhythm section of Mike Visceglia and Joe Stefko to walk off and leave Cale's band.

"Josephine" is a song by English rock band Terrorvision, which was released in 1998 as the lead single from their fourth studio album Shaving Peaches. The song was written by Terrorvision and produced by Edwyn Collins. "Josephine" reached No. 23 in the UK Singles Chart and remained in the Top 100 for two weeks. The song's music video was directed by Tomas Masin.
