The Arusha Hotel (also known as Four Point by Sheraton, New Arusha hotel)is the oldest surviving hotel in the city of Arusha in Northern Tanzania. Previously, it was known as New Arusha Hotel. It was built in 1894. [ citation needed ]

Namanga's economy has been heavily dependent on tourism since 2004 as tourists visiting the nearby Amboseli National Park passed through the town from Nairobi. The town is surrounded by hills on both sides. Mount Kilimanjaro can be viewed from Namanga town which makes it a scenic place by tourists who lodge in Namanga on their way to either Tanzania or Amboseli. The nearby Ol Doinyo Orok mountain, also known as Namanga Hills is located northwest of Namanga town. Namanga's latitude is S 2°32'39.8" and longitude E 36°47'20.2". The town has an urban population of approximately 10,000 while the rural population is approximately 5,500.

Gelai Volcano also known as Gelai stands at 2,942 metres (9,652 ft) tall and is located in Longido District of Arusha Region in Tanzania. The volcano is located in the geographic area of the Crater Highlands and is a shield volcano that last erupted in the pleistocene. It is at the southeastern edge of Lake Natron in the East African Rift. Gelai is the third most prominent peak in Arusha Region and is the 13th highest peak in Arusha region. Volcanic activity on Gelai dates to less than one million years ago. A number of earthquakes occurred in the area in the summer of 2007. Associated with the largest earthquake on 17 July, a NNE-oriented fracture or narrow graben formed on the southern flank of Gelai. The fracture may be associated with the intrusion of a narrow dike at a depth of around 4,000 metres (13,000 ft).

Mungu Crater is a volcanic crater in Oljoro ward and Mateves ward in Arusha Rural District located in Arusha Region, Tanzania. The crater is 1.22 km (0.76 mi) in diameter at its widest and 1,030 metres (1,130 yd) deep. Inside the crater is surrounded by forest whilst the crater floor is a seasonal swamp.
