In entertainment,a virtual band is a band or music group whose depicted members are not people,but animated characters or virtual avatars. The music is recorded by real musicians and producers,while any media related to the virtual band,including albums,video clips and the visual component of stage performances,feature the animated line-up;in many cases the virtual band members have been credited as the writers and performers of the songs. Live performances can become rather complex,requiring perfect synchronization between the visual and audio components of the show.
Beatrice Annika Miller is an American singer and actress. She was the fifth contestant eliminated on season two of The X Factor (US) when she was 13 years old. She was later signed to Hollywood Records. Her debut EP Young Blood was released in 2014,and her debut album Not an Apology was released on July 24,2015. In 2016,she released the single "Yes Girl". Jeon So-yeon,known mononymously as Soyeon,is a South Korean rapper and record producer under Cube Entertainment. She first gained attention for competing in the television shows Produce 101 and Unpretty Rapstar before debuting as a solo artist on November 5,2017. On May 2,2018,she debuted as the leader and rapper of the girl group (G)I-dle,for whom she has written and produced most title songs. She is also part of SM Station X girl group project Station Young and has portrayed League of Legends character Akali in the virtual musical groups K/DA and True Damage.
Jaira Burns is an American singer. She began her music career by uploading covers on YouTube. Burns made her debut in 2017 with the single "Ugly",which was featured in a commercial for Beats Electronics and Balmain headphone collaboration starring Kylie Jenner. She then released "Burn Slow" a few months later,which serves as the title track of her debut extended play,which was released in July 2018.
(G)I-dle is a South Korean girl group formed by Cube Entertainment in 2018. The group consists of five members:Miyeon,Minnie,Soyeon,Yuqi,and Shuhua. The group was originally a sextet,until Soojin left the group on August 14,2021. They are praised for their musicality,versatility,and for breaking stereotypes as a "self-producing" idol group,known for writing and producing much of their material. Since their debut,they have been acknowledged as one of the most successful South Korean girl groups outside of the "big four" record labels.

The 2018 League of Legends World Championship was an esports tournament for the multiplayer online battle arena video game League of Legends. It was the eighth iteration of the League of Legends World Championship,an annual international tournament organized by the game's developer,Riot Games. It was held from October 1 to November 3,2018,in cities across South Korea. Twenty four teams qualified for the tournament based on their placement in regional circuits such as those in China,South Korea,Europe,and North America,with twelve of those teams having to reach the group stage via a play-in round. The tournament became known for its very surprising results,numerous upsets,and has often been considered the most unpredictable worlds in League of Legends' history. The tournament also became the most watched esports event in history,reaching a peak of over 200 million concurrent viewers during the finals. Cho Mi-yeon,better known mononymously as Miyeon,is a South Korean singer and actress. She is the vocalist of the South Korean girl group (G)I-dle under Cube Entertainment,and voiced Ahri in the virtual K-pop girl group K/DA.
"Pop/Stars" is a song by virtual K-pop girl group K/DA. It was released as a single on November 2,2018,as promotion for the 2018 League of Legends World Championship. The single became popular with one of the fastest viewership records for its music video on YouTube. Soyeon and Miyeon from (G)I-dle,Madison Beer and Jaira Burns provided vocals for the song and represented the group as its human counterpart in the live performance at the finals of the tournament.
K/DA is a virtual K-pop girl group consisting of four themed versions of League of Legends characters Ahri,Akali,Evelynn and Kai'Sa. (G)I-dle members Miyeon and Soyeon provide the voices of Ahri and Akali,respectively,Madison Beer voices Evelynn,and Jaira Burns provided the voice for Kai'Sa. However,the characters have also been voiced by other artists.

Each song was produced by one of the fictional members of the group,with the exception of "More".
"More" is a song by virtual girl group K/DA. The song was released on October 28,2020,as the second single for the group's debut extended play All Out. Soyeon and Miyeon of (G)I-dle,Madison Beer,and Jaira Burns,all of whom participated in K/DA's debut song "Pop/Stars",returned for this single. In addition to the four champions of K/DA,Lexie Liu,who was in charge of Seraphine's voice,also participated in the song. Commercially,the song debuted on the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S.,making "More" the first virtual band song to simultaneously debut on the chart.
"Hwaa" is a song recorded by South Korean girl group (G)I-DLE,released on January 11,2021,by Cube Entertainment and Republic Records as the lead single of the group's fourth extended play,I Burn. The song is written by member Soyeon and co-produced by Pop Time. The inspiration for the song came to Soyeon when member Shuhua once said 'winter girl' in a conversation. She took the idea and created the concept of a woman trapped in winter. Musically,it is a moombahton,dark pop,dream pop and synth-pop track with oriental instrumentations,and contains double entendres about fire and flowers. The song was the last single released by (G)I-DLE as a sextet,before Soojin's departure from the group in August 2021.
I Never Die is the first studio album by South Korean girl group (G)I-dle. It was released digitally on March 14,2022 and physically the following day,by Cube Entertainment. It consists of three physical versions:RiSKY,CHiLL and SPOiLED,and contains eight tracks,including the lead single "Tomboy". The album marks the group's first release as a quintet following the departure of member Soojin in August 2021,and the fifth release in the 'I' series,following I Burn (2021). Members Soyeon,Minnie,and Yuqi served as the album's primary producers and songwriters.
