The Big Fun Show was a short-lived radio BBC programme that aired between January and February 1988. There were six half-hour episodes, and it was broadcast on BBC Radio 4. It starred Paul Merton, John Irwin, Tony Hawks, Josie Lawrence, Neil Mullarkey, and Julian Clary.
It was produced and directed by David Tyler.

Mark Lamarr is an English comedian, writer, radio DJ, and television presenter. He was a team captain on Shooting Stars from 1995 to 1997, and hosted Never Mind the Buzzcocks from 1996 to 2005.

Peter Baynham is a Welsh screenwriter and performer. He often collaborates with Armando Iannucci, Chris Morris, Steve Coogan, Sacha Baron Cohen and has worked with Stewart Lee and Richard Herring. He has written for TV comedy series including The Day Today, I'm Alan Partridge, Brass Eye and Jam. In 2006 Baynham co-wrote the movie Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan together with Sacha Baron Cohen, Anthony Hines and Dan Mazer, for which they received a 2007 Oscar nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay. He also co-wrote the movie's 2020 sequel, Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, which was nominated for a 2021 Oscar in the same category as its predecessor. He has also co-written Brüno, Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa and the animated features Arthur Christmas, Hotel Transylvania and 2021's Ron's Gone Wrong. Baynham cohosts the podcast Brain Cigar with long-time writing partner Jeremy Simmonds.
Patrick Sharpin, known professionally as Pat Sharp, is an English radio, television presenter and DJ. In the UK, he is known mainly for his work on the children's ITV programme Fun House, and his extensive radio career. In mainland Europe, he was better known in the 1980s as one of the Sky Channel's VJs and for presenting Coca-Cola Eurochart Top 50 and Nescafé UK Top 50.
Kevin Eldon is an English actor and comedian. He featured in British comedy television shows of the 1990s including Fist of Fun, This Morning with Richard Not Judy, Knowing Me, Knowing You with Alan Partridge, Big Train, Brass Eye and Jam. In 2013, Eldon appeared in his own BBC sketch series It's Kevin. He has also appeared in minor speaking roles in the HBO series Game of Thrones.
BBC Radio nan Gàidheal is a Scottish Gaelic language radio station owned and operated by BBC Scotland, a division of the BBC. The station was launched in 1985 and broadcasts Gaelic-language programming with the simulcast of BBC Radio Scotland.
John Myers was a British radio executive, consultant and presenter. He was Chairman of the UK Radio Academy Awards, The Commercial Radio Awards and owner of Myers Media. Myers developed the Century Radio brand for Border Radio Holdings in the early 1990s, launching two more stations later in the decade. He presented programmes under the pseudonym "John Morgan". He then became Chief executive of GMG Radio, developing the Real Radio, Smooth Radio and Rock Radio brands and overseeing GMG Radio's acquisition of the Century network from GCap Media. He served as Chief executive of The Radio Academy from April 2011 until June 2012 and the founding Chairman of TeamRock, retiring in May 2016.

Following drama training at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts, Hart began writing material for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and making appearances in various British sitcoms, including Hyperdrive (2006–2007) and Not Going Out (2006–2009).
Gregg Allan Wallace is an English broadcaster, entrepreneur, media personality, writer and former greengrocer. He is known for co-presenting MasterChef, Celebrity MasterChef and MasterChef: The Professionals, alongside celebrity chef John Torode, on BBC One and BBC Two. He has jokingly referred to himself as "just the fat, bald bloke on MasterChef who likes pudding". He has written regularly for Good Food, Now and Olive magazines.

The Big Toe Radio Show was a daily show for children on the DAB radio station BBC 7 at breakfast time and from 4 to 6 pm. It was aimed at children aged nine to eleven. It featured music, games, stories read from well-known books such as those by Roald Dahl and fun. It began in December 2002, as BBC 7 launched
The "Fab 40" was a weekly playlist of popular records used by the British "pirate" radio station "Wonderful" Radio London which broadcast off the Essex coast from 1964 to 1967.
The British Podcast Awards were established in 2017 to reward and reflect burgeoning podcast productions in Great Britain. The awards combine selections by an industry panel with public vote awards such as the Listeners Choice award. In 2021, readers of the weekly Great British Podcasts email created the shortlist for the new Best International podcast. In 2022, the chair of judges were named as Emily Maitlis and Jon Sopel.
