The Counterterrorism Group, Inc. [1] (CTG) is a subsidiary of the global intelligence, risk consulting, and security firm Paladin7 [2] based in Washington, D.C. Specializing in intelligence analysis, and open-source intelligence, research, and counterterrorism operations.

The company is an international intelligence firm that provides a variety of intelligence, and security services. CTG also provides the only virtual remote counterterrorism internship globally known to this date.

Of their publications, include the Counterterrorism National Intelligence Estimate (NIE), [3] Security Briefs, Daily Terrorist Activity Reports, Threat Assessments, Travel Reports, and Analysis Intelligence Reports. Crumpton is a retired Central Intelligence Agency operations officer, who served as deputy director of the Counterterrorism Center and as head of the CIA's National Resources Division, which focuses on operations in the United States. In the early days of the invasion of Afghanistan, Crumpton led CTC Special Operations paramilitary forces in pursuit of the Taliban and al-Qaeda following the September 11 attacks. Crumpton also planned a larger incursion alongside others like Greg Vogle and Chris Wood. He was later appointed by President George W. Bush as Coordinator for Counterterrorism at the Department of State with the rank of Ambassador-at-large on August 2, 2005. He is an author and co-founder, chairman, and CEO of the business intelligence and political risk firm Crumpton Global LLC.

Counter-Terrorism Group (CTG) is a government agency and the primary investigative arm belonging to the Kurdistan Regional Government in Iraqi Kurdistan, headquartered in Sulaymaniyah. The organization is now a governmental agency that was established by PUK's intelligence service under the name CTG was first established in 2002 by the Patriotic Union with support from the United States and the CIA as a response to the growing influence and threat from Ansar al-Islam in the areas which was the former Islamic Emirate of Byara. The primary function of the agency is investigation of crimes relating to both the internal and external security of the Kurdistan region. The agency officially has power to arrest holds jurisdiction over a number of crimes in the region including terrorism.
