The Heart String & How to Pull It is the third album by Scottish rock band Sucioperro, released on 7 March 2011 by Xtra Mile Recordings.
The band financed the making of the album and completed most of the recording themselves at their beastin' studio, The Lair. The record was produced by the band, mixed by Chris Sheldon, and mastered by Chris Gordon. The artwork was once again done by bassist Stewart Chown, in collaboration with longtime Sucioperro photographer Gordon Burniston. In order to fund the publication and promotion of the album, and the March/April 2011 tour, the fan-funding intermediary Pledgemusic was used, which gave fans the opportunity to take up some special offers from the band. The Sucioperro Pledgemusic statement indicated that a percentage of profits would be donated to Alzheimer Scotland when the fundraising target was reached.
The album spawned two singles - "Threads" and "Reflexes of the Dead". Both were released as digital EPs, including 5 previously unreleased b-sides each.
Full details of the track listing and album artwork were released on 28 February, followed shortly by news of a fourteen date tour throughout England and Scotland, starting on 21 March and finishing on 8 April.

Pledgers were offered various basic packages that included a physical copy of the album, a digital download of the album, a download of what became the Chemicals EP, an album-themed T-shirt and an album-themed poster. All of the basic packages included the option to download the album a few days in advance of the physical release.
Additionally, there were several special packages that were offered at premium prices. All of the special packages included a digital download of the album.

The Damnwells were an indie rock band originally from the Brooklyn borough of New York City. The band formed in 2000 and released five full-length albums, Air Stereo, Bastards of the Beat, One Last Century, No One Listens to the Band Anymore and The Damnwells. The original members of the Damnwells were Alex Dezen, David Chernis, Ted Hudson (bass), and Steven Terry (drums/percussion). Steven Terry played drums and recorded with Ryan Adams' original band Whiskeytown on the album Strangers Almanac. Over their 16-year career, they toured extensively throughout the United States and had numerous television and radio appearances. Although David Chernis and Steven Terry left the band from 2007 to 2013, the Damnwells, with core members Alex Dezen and Ted Hudson, still appeared in changing formations during that time.

Crystal World is the debut studio album by Scottish musician Marnie, self-released on 11 June 2013 through the site PledgeMusic. The album was produced in 2012 in Reykjavík, Iceland, by her Ladytron band-mate Daniel Hunt in collaboration with the Icelandic musician Barði Jóhannsson. Alessandro Cortini also produced the second song, "We Are the Sea". Crystal World comprises ten original songs written by Marnie while Ladytron had a break after their fifth studio album, Gravity the Seducer in 2011. Crystal World is available in these formats: music download, CD, 12" vinyl.
No Going Back is the tenth studio album by punk band Stiff Little Fingers. It was released on 15 March 2014 for a limited time through Pledgemusic, a website where fans can pledge/donate money to purchase the album in various forms. The album was released to the general public on 11 August 2014 through the band's Rigid Digits label and elsewhere through Mondo Recordings/INgrooves. The album is the band's first studio release in eleven years since 2003's Guitar and Drum. It reached No. 1 on BBC Radio 1's UK Top 40 Rock Album Charts on 14 September 2014.
Behind the Devil's Back is the fourth studio album by British post-hardcore band Fightstar. The album was released on 16 October 2015 via the band's own record label - distributed by Warner Music. The album was funded via a Pledge Music campaign, which launched in July 2015.
