Kshetrimayum Thoiba Singh (born 1 December 1955) is an Indian field hockey player, who represented India at the Olympics and Asian Games. He played as a left-winger and was known for his speed and stamina. Today[ when? ] he coaches the Imphal Rangers, hockey team. [1] [2]
Born on 1 February 1961, in Imphal, Manipur, India, to Ksh. Giridhon Singh and Ksh(o) Maikoibi Devi, Thoiba Singh took to hockey early on in life, and soon found his natural talent in the game.
He was a member of the 1988 Summer Olympics field hockey team in which India came in the 6th place. Other than Olympics, he represented India at Asia Cup 1985, 1989; Champions Trophy 1985, 1989; Azlan Shah Trophy 1985; 1986 Asian Games, 1990; World Cup 1986; Indo-Pak Test Series 1986; Five-nation 1988 and Indira Gandhi tournament 1987. India competed in seven events at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea, winning no medals.
Mohammed Shahid was an Indian field hockey player. He is considered one of India's best to have played the game and was known for his dribbling skills. He was a member of the Indian team that won the gold medal at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow. He was awarded Arjuna Award in 1980–1981 and Padma Shri in 1986.

Ajit Pal Singh Kular was an Indian professional field hockey player from Sansarpur, Punjab. He was the captain of the Indian hockey team. He was conferred the Arjuna Award in 1970, and awarded it in 1972. He played at centre half position. He was captain of the Indian team at the Hockey World Cup 1975 held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Master Chief Petty Officer Ngangom Dingko Singh was an Indian boxer who won the gold medal at 1998 Asian Games in Bangkok. He was from the North-eastern Indian state of Manipur. He was awarded the Padma Shri by Government of India in 2013.
Parattu Raveendran Sreejesh is an Indian field hockey player from Kerala who plays as a goalkeeper and former captain of the Indian national team.He is regarded as the World's best goal keeper of his generation. Devendro Singh Laishram, also known as Devendro Singh or Devendro Laishram, is an Indian boxer from Imphal West district, Manipur who competes in the light-flyweight division. Devendro represented India at the 2012 Summer Olympics and lost out in the quarter-finals in a tough bout against the eventual bronze medalist Irish boxer Paddy Barnes. Devendro qualified for the Olympics after reaching the quarter-finals of the 2011 World Amateur Boxing Championships in Baku. In 2013 Devendro won the silver medal at the Asian Confederation Boxing Championship. In August 2014 he won the silver medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. He competed against Paddy Barnes, who was representing Northern Ireland and settled for a Silver medal.

He was born on 1 March 1955 at Moirangkhom Bokulmakhong, Imphal. Son of the late P. Babu Singh and Ibeton Devi. He graduated in 1981, from Imphal College. He started playing hockey from early childhood. He was selected to represent Manipur State in the Senior National Hockey Championship held at Hyderabad in 1979. He had also played for Manipur State Junior Hockey Team in the National Junior Hockey Championship held at Jabalpur (1980), Kolhapur (1981) and Meerut (1982).
