Aisha al-Rabi, 48, was killed by a group of Israeli settlers who threw stones at the car she was traveling in. At about 9:30 pm she and her family were on their way home to Bidya, Salfit Governorate in the northwestern West Bank. They slowed down as they were about to approach a permanent Israeli checkpoint in the area. At that point, a group of settlers began hurling rocks at their car. One rock smashed through the car and hit Aisha on the right side of her face, crushing her skull. Her husband, Yaqoub, drove to the hospital in Nablus, a 20 minutes drive away, where his wife was pronounced dead. [22]

Violence flared up again on 11 November 2018 when seven Palestinian militants were killed during a botched raid by the Israel Defense Forces in the southeastern Gaza Strip. One IDF officer was killed and another was injured. Over a dozen rockets were subsequently fired from Gaza, three of which were shot down. After a series of intense fire exchanges, ceasefire was agreed upon on 13 November 2018

A Palestinian wielding a knife snuck into a police station in Jerusalem and lightly wounded four officers before he himself was shot and apprehended. [23]

Mohammad Hossam Abdel Latif Habali, a 22 year old mentally disabled Palestinian, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers on 4 December 2018 in Tulkarm, a city in the West Bank, [24] [25] near the border between Israel and the West Bank. [26] Witnesses report that Habali was killed by Israeli forces, and the IDF has not disputed the cause of death. [24]

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2018 Ariel stabbing</span> 2018 stabbing attack on civilians in Ariel, West Bank

On 5 February 2018, 29-year-old Rabbi Itamar Ben Gal from Har Brakha, was stabbed to death at the Ariel Junction, near the West Bank Israeli settlement and city of Ariel. The assailant had escaped from the scene, but was arrested following a six-week manhunt. A protester was killed during a violent demonstration against searching for the suspect.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2018–2019 Gaza border protests</span> Protest campaign for refugee rights in the Gaza Strip

The 2018–2019 Gaza border protests, also known as the Great March of Return, were a series of demonstrations held each Friday in the Gaza Strip near the Gaza-Israel border from 30 March 2018 until 27 December 2019, during which a total of 223 Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces. The demonstrators demanded that the Palestinian refugees must be allowed to return to lands they were displaced from in what is now Israel and they protested against Israel's land, air and sea blockade of the Gaza Strip and the United States recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel.

Gaza-Israel clashes began on 11 November 2018, when a botched Israeli covert operation carried out in the Khan Yunis area of the southern Gaza Strip killed seven Palestinian militants and one Israeli soldier. Exchanges of fire lasted for two more days, until a cease fire was achieved with Egyptian mediation. Some minor incidents and protests followed some two weeks after the cease fire, with decreasing intensity.
