The American Economic Association (AEA) is a learned society in the field of economics, headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee. It publishes one of the most prestigious academic journals in economics: the American Economic Review. The AEA was established in 1885 in Saratoga, New York by younger progressive economists trained in the German historical school, including Richard T. Ely, Edwin Robert Anderson Seligman and Katharine Coman, the only woman co-founder; since 1900 it has been under the control of academics.

Staff College, Camberley, Surrey, was a staff college for the British Army and the presidency armies of British India. It had its origins in the Royal Military College, High Wycombe founded in 1799, which in 1802 became the Senior Department of the new Royal Military College. In 1858 the name of the Senior Department was changed to "Staff College", and in 1870 this was separated from the Royal Military College. Apart from periods of closure during major wars, the Staff College continued to operate until 1997, when it was merged into the new Joint Services Command and Staff College. The equivalent in the Royal Navy was the Royal Naval Staff College, Greenwich and the equivalent in the Royal Air Force was the RAF Staff College, Bracknell.

The Royal Households of the United Kingdom are the collective departments which support members of the British royal family. Many members of the Royal Family who undertake public duties have separate households. They vary considerably in size, from the large Royal Household which supports the Sovereign to the household of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, with fewer than ten members. The lesser households are funded from the Civil List annuities, paid to their respective royal employers for their public duties, and all reimbursed to HM Treasury by the Queen.
Mary Maples Dunn was an American historian. Born in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, Dunn graduated from William and Mary College in 1954 and received her Ph.D. from Bryn Mawr College in 1959, where she taught and served as Dean from 1978 to 1985. She served as the eighth president of Smith College, for ten years beginning in 1985. Dunn was also the Director of the Schlesinger Library from 1995 to 2000. She was acting president when Radcliffe College merged with Harvard University, and she became the acting Dean of the newly created Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study after the merger. Retired, Dunn became a Radcliffe Institute Fellow. She was the co-Executive Officer of the American Philosophical Society from 2002 to 2007.

He also served as Deputy Press Secretary for Foreign Media in the 1992 Clinton Presidential campaign and, in 2000, was Al Gore's co-coordinator for national security in his presidential campaign.
