Thomas Hamilton is an American pop/electro/rock musician in Los Angeles, California. He performs under the stage name Hamilton.
Hamilton grew up in Orange County, California, and moved to Los Angeles as a teen.
Thomas got his first break in commercial music when two of his songs debuted on television. The MTV television series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County used his track Alive. The E! Entertainment Television series Paradise City also used one of Hamilton's songs. He initially signed a development deal with J Records, but the label did not release any of his music.
Hamilton is signed to the Indie Pop Records label, based in Los Angeles. His contemporaries on the label include Dev, Marty James, Bobby Brackins, The Cataracs, and Yuna. Hamilton recently released an EP produced by The Cataracs, after their collaboration on the Billboard Hot 100 #1 hit Like a G6. His previous collaborations with The Cataracs included Mr. Sexual and God Knows.
Hamilton has worked with Swedish producer Alex Kronlund, who wrote for and produced Robin and Britney Spears. He continues to write and record with Indie Pop and has recently joined forces musically with Caroline D'Amore, the actress and model. Hamilton is currently writing new music with producer-songwriter Freddy Wexler.
In an interview with Rick Florino, Hamilton described his music as "a fusion of hip hop and pop. We write everything on guitar, but we use a lot of hip hop beats. In the end, every element comes together seamlessly."
He also explained to Florino the story behind his song Sun, calling it "a real exploration of emotion but not in the self-help way. Dark and the light exist in the same place. People wait for that one big moment or that one thing they believe will solve all of their problems and cause happiness—whether it's a record deal or graduating college. It's seems like the waiting never ends though. You're waiting for the sun to shine essentially, and that's what the song is about. Darkness comes and goes, but the sun will always be back. Things may be shitty, but they'll get better."
Hamilton has recommended by some of the industry's hottest bloggers, including A&R leader Crazed Hits and Arjan Writes. Arjan Writes recommended the song Sun, calling it "a sweeping electro-pop stomper that is a good introduction to Hamilton's peppy, genre-mashing brand of pop."
The music video for Sun won Best Freshman Video in 2010 on MTVU, thus launching Hamilton's music video to all major outlets, including MTV2, Fuse, and Logo's New Now Next.
In July 2010, Hamilton appeared on the Gary and Catherine morning radio show on Santa Barbara, California's 101.7 KLITE FM.
Hamilton also attended the 2011 South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas. There he was interviewed by Arjan of Arjan Writes for an episode of the music interview web series Cherrytree Pop Chop Minute.
Temposhark was an English electronic rock band, formed in London and Brighton by singer-songwriter Robert Diament and one-time music producer Luke Busby. Temposhark were best known for their songs Bye Bye Baby, Joy, It's Better To Have Loved and Not That Big; a duet with singer Imogen Heap which appeared on their 2008 debut album The Invisible Line. Their second album Threads was released in 2010 and reached the top 15 on iTunes UK electronic albums chart. Other notable artist collaborations include Guy Sigsworth, Sean McGhee, Youth from Killing Joke, Kate Havnevik, Melnyk, Camille, MaJiKer, Morgan Page, Avril and the virtuoso violinist Sophie Solomon. Temposhark's music has been featured in numerous television programmes, including the US advertising campaign for British TV series Downton Abbey in 2011.
The Pack was a hip hop group formed in Berkeley, California in 2004. The group consisted of Lil B, Young L, Stunnaman, and Lil Uno. They all recorded together for over a year at Young L's home studio where they released their first two mixtapes Wolfpack Muzik Vol. 1 and Wolfpack Muzik Vol. 2. The Pack expanded their fanbase and eventually got signed to a major label, when Too Short signed The Pack to his Jive Records-distributed label Up All Nite Records. The Pack is usually known for their skateboard raps and the sexually explicit content of many of their songs. The group is best known for the track "Vans". The Pack has also collaborated with musicians such as Soulja Boy, Wiz Khalifa, Dev, and The Cataracs.
PRIVATE was a pop music group formed in 2006 by Danish producer/singer Thomas Troelsen, along with guitarist Asger Tarpgaard and vocalist Tanja Simonsen, and was later a solo project by Troelsen. PRIVATE's debut album “My Secret Lover” was produced and recorded by Troelsen and mixed by Jason Boshoff. The first single, of the same title, achieved Gold sales in Denmark and reached #1 on the Danish singles, radio, and download charts. "My Secret Lover" was released in the UK on 17 January 2010 on Virgin Records with remixes by Diplo, Egyptian Lover, Spencer & Hill, and Rune RK.

Neon Hitch is an English singer and songwriter. She was signed to Mike Skinner and Ted Mayhem's label, The Beats, before it closed down. She was later discovered on MySpace by Benny Blanco, who flew her to New York City to work with him. Their work together earned her a music publishing deal with EMI and a record deal with Warner Bros. Records. Neon's debut album, Anarchy, was released on 22 July 2016 via WeRNeon.
"Like a G6" is a 2010 song written and performed by Far East Movement, The Cataracs, and Dev, released as the lead single from Far East Movement's third studio album Free Wired. Produced by The Cataracs, the track reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 for three non-consecutive weeks, becoming the first single by Asian-American artists to do so and the first by any artists of East Asian origin since Kyu Sakamoto's 1963 single "Sukiyaki". Outside of the United States, "Like a G6" topped the chart in New Zealand and peaked within the top 10 of the charts in Australia, Canada, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovakia, and the United Kingdom.
The Cataracs were an American hip hop record production project and duo formed in Berkeley, California, United States, consisting of David Benjamin Singer-Vine and Niles Hollowell-Dhar. The duo started out as an independent group, during their years at Berkeley High School. The two were first signed to the label Indie-Pop. Singer-Vine left the group in August 2012 with Hollowell-Dhar continuing on with the name The Cataracs by himself. Hollowell-Dhar also released materials starting in 2014, under the name of KSHMR.
Devin Star Tailes, known professionally as Dev, is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, model and radio host. She was discovered by the Cataracs and record label Indie-Pop via Myspace after Dev's friend posted a video of her singing. Dev's song "Booty Bounce" was sampled in Far East Movement's hit single "Like a G6", which reached number one in the US and sold over four million downloads in the country.
Colette Mary Carr is an American musician and songwriter based in Los Angeles, California, United States. Carr's debut album, Skitszo, a collection of previously released digital EPs, was released on July 9, 2013. "Never Gonna Happen", the fifth single from the album, was released May 5, 2013 and reached the number eleven spot on Billboard's Dance-Club Chart. Her musical style has been compared to Dev and Little Boots.
"Bass Down Low" is the debut single by American recording artist Dev, written and performed by Dev and The Cataracs. Produced by The Cataracs, the song was released on November 16, 2010, through Universal Motown as the lead single for Dev's debut studio album, The Night the Sun Came Up (2011). Initially, the song was made for The Cataracs with Dev as the featured act, but she was made the main artist as they believed it would be a suitable follow-up to Far East Movement's "Like a G6", which Dev and The Cataracs appeared on. British rapper Tinie Tempah was featured on an official remix of "Bass Down Low" that was made for the song's release in the United Kingdom. Musically, "Bass Down Low" is an electro song with skittering synths and the lyrics speak of different forms of debauchery.

The Night the Sun Came Up is the debut studio album by American recording artist Dev, released on September 2, 2011 by Universal Republic Records. Dev worked exclusively with American Electropop production duo The Cataracs and Alan De la Rosa, who helmed the production of the entire album along with co-writing songs with Dev. Production on the album took place mainly in January 2011 and continued into 2012 as the North American release date for the album was delayed from September 20, 2011 to January 10, 2012 as per Dev's request to add more songs to the album, with Amazon.com announcing that the North American release would be pushed back further to March 26, 2012.
Do It in the AM is the second studio album by English recording artist Frankmusik. It was released in the United Kingdom on 26 September 2011 by Island Records. Preceding its release, the album's eponymous official lead single "Do it in the AM", which features labelmates Far East Movement, was released in the US on 3 May 2011 and in the UK on 1 August 2011. The album's title was revealed in a press release issued on Frankmusik's Myspace page.
"In the Dark" is a song performed by American singer Dev. It was written by Dev alongside the Cataracs, who produced it for Dev's debut studio album, The Night the Sun Came Up (2011). The song was released as the album's second single on April 25, 2011, through Universal Motown. "In the Dark" came about when Dev wanted to make a sexy song to show that she is a grown woman. She collaborated with American rapper Flo Rida on an official remix as she believed she would enjoy the remix when hearing it on the radio. "In the Dark" is a dance-pop song with a saxophone hook and influences of Eurodance, Latin and jazz music. The lyrics emphasize sex drives and letting the sensation of touch fully take over from sight.

Skitszo is the debut studio album by American singer-rapper Colette Carr, which was released as a whole on July 9, 2013 through Interscope. The album consists of four digital EPs, each featuring four songs, released two months apart. The full album includes all the songs from the EPs, plus four new ones.
Dwntwn is an American indie rock/pop band from Los Angeles. Formed in 2010, members include Jamie Leffler, Robert Cepeda, and Daniel Vanchieri. Their self-titled EP, "DWNTWN" was released April 29, 2014.
