Thomas Logan Hicks (born December 18, 1952) is a former American professional football player who played linebacker for five seasons for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL), from 1976 to 1980. His jersey number was 54.
During the 1978 NFL season, Hicks suffered a knee injury in Week 10 in a contest against the Seattle Seahawks. He was diagnosed with torn knee ligaments and underwent surgery that evening after the game. He missed the remainder of the 1978 NFL season.
After a breakdown in contract negotiations for the 1981 season, Hicks retired. [1] [2]

Hicks was an all-state linebacker at Willowbrook High School in Villa Park, IL (Class of 1971).

He played football for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL) from 1965 to 1973. He was invited to eight Pro Bowls in nine seasons, named a first-team All-Pro five times, and was twice recognized by his peers as the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year. Butkus was renowned as a fierce tackler and for the relentless effort with which he played. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most intimidating linebackers in professional football history.

Nicholas Alexander Barnett is an American former professional football player who was a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Oregon State Beavers, and was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the first round of the 2003 NFL draft. Sidelined by an injury, he was unable to play with the Packers during their Super Bowl XLV win against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
