Game shows often reward players with prizes such as cash, trips and goods and services provided by the show's sponsor prize suppliers.

At the end of each round, they then display their answers, scoring a point for each correct one.

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? is a British television quiz show, created and produced by David Briggs, and made for the ITV network. The show's format, devised by Briggs, sees contestants taking on multiple-choice questions, based upon general knowledge, winning a cash prize for each question they answer correctly, with the amount offered increasing as they take on more difficult questions. To assist each contestant who takes part, they are given lifelines to use, may walk away with the money they already have won if they wish not to risk answering a question, and are provided with a safety net that gives them a guaranteed cash prize if they give an incorrect answer, provided they reach a specific milestone in the quiz.
The Cadbury Bournvita Quiz Contest is an Indian quiz contest that began on 12 April 1972. Sponsored by Cadbury India, it is one of India's most famous quiz contests. Originally held live in cities across the country, it later became a radio show and then, in June 1992, a television show on Zee TV. Later, the show was shifted to another television channel, Sony Entertainment Television. After a hiatus, it moved in a truncated version to Pogo, before landing its last TV outing in the channel Colors. In 2015, BQC completed its first YouTube-only season with Centre Point Nagpur as All India Champions. It then moved to its app called BQC where the viewers can play along. The show is hosted by Derek O'Brien. The original quiz master on the radio show was Hamid Sayani, a prominent Indian broadcast personality. After the first four years, Hamid died and the show was taken over by his brother Ameen Sayani.

Hexagon - This Evening is a Quiz Parade!! aired from June 5 through October 12, 2005.
Cleverdicks is a game show that originally aired on Sky Atlantic, hosted by Ann Widdecombe, now shown on Challenge. Four contestants compete each episode for the right to call themselves "cleverdicks" and play for a cash jackpot. As explained by host Widdecombe at the top of the first episode, a cleverdick is a person who is "irritatingly and ostentatiously knowledgeable or intelligent." The question material is therefore primarily academic in nature.
Billy on the Street with Billy Eichner is an American comedy game show hosted by Billy Eichner. During each episode, Eichner goes out to the streets of New York City and asks pedestrians questions about pop culture. Recurring games are "For a Dollar" and "Quizzed in the Face". Eichner is also the executive producer and creator of the series.
