The Tour of Norway was a multi-day road bicycle race held in Norway between 1983 and 1992, with the exception of 1986 to 1989. [1]

Thor Hushovd is a Norwegian former professional road bicycle racer. He is known for sprinting and time trialing; Hushovd is a three-time Norwegian national road race champion, and was the winner of the 2010 World Road Race Championships. He was the first Norwegian to lead the Tour de France, and first Scandinavian to win the road race in cycling world road championship. He is also the Scandinavian with the most stage wins in Grand Tours. He is widely considered the greatest Norwegian cyclist of all time. He retired in September 2014.

Tyin is a lake in Vang Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The lake is located in the southwest part of the Jotunheimen mountain range. The lake lies in Vang Municipality in Innlandet county, but a small portion of the lake extends into Årdal Municipality in Vestland county. The western border mostly follows the border between Vang and Årdal, but there are some areas where the lake crosses over the boundary. The 33.02-square-kilometre (12.75 sq mi) lake serves as a reservoir for the Tyin Hydroelectric Power Station and the water level is regulated between 1,082.84 to 1,072.50 metres above sea level. The lake holds a volume of 0.313 cubic kilometres (254,000 acre⋅ft).
Therese Johaug is a Norwegian cross-country skier from the village of Dalsbygda in Os municipality who has competed for the clubs Tynset IF and IL Nansen. In World Ski Championships she has won ten individual gold medals along with four gold medals in relays, and she is a four-time Olympic gold medallist.
Edvald Boasson Hagen is a Norwegian professional road racing cyclist, who rides for UCI ProTeam Team TotalEnergies. He was ranked as no. 3 in the world by UCI as of 31 August 2009, when he was 22 years old. He is known as an all-rounder, having won the Norwegian National Road Race Championships in 2012, 2015 and 2016. He is also a ten-time winner of the Norwegian National Time Trial Championships.
Joker Fuel of Norway was a UCI Continental cycling team based in Norway, managed by Birger Hungerholdt with assistance from directeur sportifs Gino van Oudehove and Anders Linnestad. The team had well known riders, including Alexander Kristoff who rode for the team from 2007 to 2009, and Edvald Boasson Hagen who joined the team in 2006 Maxbo–Bianchi and in his first season in the continental circuits he took eight wins including three stages of the Tour de l'Avenir.
Martin Johnsrud Sundby is a former Norwegian cross-country skier who competed between 2003 and 2021. He is a two time Olympic champion at the 2018 Winter Olympics in the team sprint and relay and was also a silver and bronze medalist in the 30 km skiathlon in 2014 and 2018. Sundby is a 4-time world champion, winning his sole individual gold medal at the 15 km at the 2019 Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld. In 2014, he became the first Norwegian to win the Tour de Ski, a feat he repeated in 2016. He also won the overall world cup in 2014, 2016 and 2017.
Alexander Kristoff is a Norwegian professional road bicycle racer, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam Uno-X Pro Cycling Team. He won the Norwegian National Road Race Championships in 2007 and 2011. His biggest victories have been the 2014 Milan–San Remo and the 2015 Tour of Flanders among many other successes.

Ruud has a career-high singles ranking of world No. 2, achieved on 12 September 2022, making him the highest-ranked Norwegian tennis player in history. He has won nine ATP Tour singles titles, eight of which were on clay courts. Ruud is the first Norwegian man to win an ATP singles title, to reach major finals, to reach a Masters 1000 final, and to enter the top 20 in the ATP rankings. He also reached the final of the 2022 ATP Finals. In doubles, he has a career-high ranking of world No. 133, achieved after reaching the quarterfinals of the 2021 Wimbledon Championships. Revered for his professional on-court demeanour, he was awarded the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award in 2022.
