Tracy D. Suttles is an American businessman and entrepreneur in Houston, Texas. He was formerly president of NBC Holdings there.
Suttles played point guard for the basketball team of the Admiral King High School in Lorain, Ohio, in 1980. [1]
Lorain is a city in Lorain County, Ohio, United States. The municipality is located in northeastern Ohio on Lake Erie, at the mouth of the Black River, approximately 30 miles west of Cleveland. As of the 2010 census, the city had a total population of 64,097, making it Ohio's tenth largest city, the third largest in Greater Cleveland, and the largest in Lorain County by population.
Suttles was president of NBC Holdings, a Houston property company. In 2004 he converted the Kirby Building on Main Street from offices to residential units. [2] [3] From 2002 to 2005,[ citation needed ] he owned a palace originally built for a Saudi Arabian prince. [4] [5] In 2003 he failed in an attempt to buy the Westward Ho Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas for $78 million, leading to lawsuits. [6] [7]

Westward Ho Hotel and Casino was a casino and hotel located on the Las Vegas Strip in Winchester, an unincorporated area of Clark County in the U.S. state of Nevada. The Westward Ho was the last large motel style property on the Strip. It was a two-story building with parking surrounding the buildings. The casino had a large number of slot machines, and a gaming pit with live dealers. The games included blackjack, roulette, craps, and Let It Ride.
Suttles filed for bankruptcy in early 2013, and was discharged later that year. In 2017 he received a loan of almost $300,000 over five years to demolish the abandoned Ramada Inn building by St. Louis Lambert International Airport in Bridgeton, Missouri, to make a parking lot. [8]
Bankruptcy is a legal status of a person or other entity who cannot repay debts to creditors. In most jurisdictions, bankruptcy is imposed by a court order, often initiated by the debtor.
