Transiteatret-Bergen (Tt-B) is a theatre company based in Bergen, Norway.
Transiteatret-Bergen (Tt-B) constitutes a dynamic network of artists working in different constellations transgressing geographic and artistic dividing lines. Tt-B has its base in Bergen (Norway), but collaborates with national and international institutions and professionals in the development of a contemporary and critical experimental theatre, with a core interest in the musical and political-aesthetical potential of the theatre. Artistic director of Transiteatret-Bergen is Tore Vagn Lid.
The company has developed a number of critically acclaimed works which has been presented on contemporary venues and festivals both nationally and internationally like Salzburger Festspielen (YDP, "Die Massnahme", 2008) and Bergen International Festival and Arctic Arts Festival. Hanns Eisler was a German-Austrian composer. He is best known for composing the national anthem of East Germany, for his long artistic association with Bertolt Brecht, and for the scores he wrote for films. The Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin is named after him.

The Decision, frequently translated as The Measures Taken, is a Lehrstück and agitprop cantata by the twentieth-century German dramatist Bertolt Brecht. Created in collaboration with composer Hanns Eisler and director Slatan Dudow, it consists of eight sections in prose and unrhymed, free verse, with six major songs. A note to the text by all three collaborators describes it as an "attempt to use a didactic piece to make familiar an attitude of positive intervention."
Laila Elin Goody is a Norwegian actress. She was born to an English father who worked in the oil industry and a Norwegian mother. She was born in Stavanger and grew up in Rosendal, Hordaland between the ages of two to ten, before returning to Stavanger. Here she attended Stavanger Katedralskole. After graduating from the Norwegian National Academy of Theatre in 1994, she began working at the National Theatre. After nine years at this theatre she decided to take a break, and in 2003 she moved on to do guest performances at Trøndelag Teater and Centralteatret.

Studioteatret was a theatre in Norway. It opened in 1945, shortly after the liberation, with Claes Gill as its first theatre director. Studioteatret is regarded as one of the earliest post-war artistic expressions in Norway, and most of its members later played important roles in Norwegian theatre. Studioteatret closed 25 October 1950, due to economic difficulties, and its members were spread to various other theatres.
Eugen Berthold Friedrich Brecht, known as Bertolt Brecht and Bert Brecht, was a German theatre practitioner, playwright, and poet. Coming of age during the Weimar Republic, he had his first successes as a playwright in Munich and moved to Berlin in 1924, where he wrote The Threepenny Opera with Elisabeth Hauptmann and Kurt Weill and began a life-long collaboration with the composer Hanns Eisler. Immersed in Marxist thought during this period, Brecht wrote didactic Lehrstücke and became a leading theoretician of epic theatre and the Verfremdungseffekt.
Tore Vagn Lid is a Norwegian theatre director, playwright, musician, academic researcher and artistic director of Transiteatret-Bergen. Tore Vagn Lid holds a professorship in Norwegian University of Science and Technology. and was professor in Directing and Dramaturgy at Oslo National Academy of the Arts (2012-2021). In 2018 Tore Vagn Lid was a guest professor in Dramaturgy at the Institute of Theatre- Film- and Media Science at Goethe University Frankfurt He earned a PhD from the Institute for Applied Theatre Studies in Giessen, Germany. Central in what is seen as a new political turn in the contemporary Norwegian theater. He has also written numerous articles, especially focusing on the relationship between theater and music, music dramaturgy, directing and artistic research.

Agnes Mowinckel was a Norwegian actress and theatre director. Born in Bergen into a distinguished family, she became Norway's first professional stage director. A pioneer in bringing painters to the theatre, she used light as an artistic element, and engaged contemporary composers. She took part in theatrical experiments, worked at small stages in Oslo, and founded her own theatre.

Loft is a traditional two-storey wooden building preserved mostly in Norway. A loft was used for storage and sleeping, and is known since the early Middle Ages. Loft buildings dating from around 1200 are preserved in rural areas. Lofts were typically built in log technique, unlike the post and lintel construction in stave churches. Many lofts have an external corridor or balcony resting on a log corbel. The oldest non-religious wooden buildings in Norway are lofts. In addition to the stave church, Christian Norberg-Schulz regards the loft as Norway's most important contribution to history of architecture.
