Travesia station is a station in Guinobatan, Albay, Philippines.

History

Travesia was built around 1981 as a replacement for the Guinobatan station after a bypass line was built to avoid the steep grades at Camalig but it was not until February 23, 1986 when services resumed and the station opened.

Travesía human settlement in Honduras

Travesía is an important pre-Columbian archaeological sites in the Ulua river valley of Honduras. The city reached its largest size in the Late Classic (500-850) but was founded earlier. How early, we don't know because of the destruction of the site in the 20th century and subsequent looting to find pieces for the thriving illegal antiquities market. It is in the Cortés Department to the south east of San Pedro Sula, and should not be confused with the modern town of Travesía on the Caribbean coast.

Each link is typically only 2 inches (5.1 cm) in length. It is made from lean pork, pork fat, salt, sugar, garlic, saltpeter, and black pepper. Unlike other Philippine sausages, the meat is uniquely chopped by hand. The dish is celebrated in the annual "Longganisa Festival" of Guinobatan.

Albay's 3rd congressional district is one of the three congressional districts of the Philippines in the province of Albay. It has been represented in the House of Representatives of the Philippines since 1916 and earlier in the Philippine Assembly from 1907 to 1916. The district consists of the city of Ligao and adjacent municipalities of Guinobatan, Jovellar, Libon, Oas, Pio Duran and Polangui. It is currently represented in the 18th Congress by Fernando T. Cabredo of the PDP–Laban.
