The American Basketball League (ABL) was an early professional basketball league. During six seasons from 1925–26 to 1930–31, the ABL was the first attempt to create a major professional basketball league in the United States.
Trenton Thunder Ballpark, formerly known as Mercer County Waterfront Park and Arm & Hammer Park, is a ballpark in Trenton, New Jersey. It is the home park for the Trenton Thunder, a collegiate summer baseball team of the MLB Draft League. They were previously a Double-A level Minor League Baseball team of the Eastern League (1994–2020). For 2021, it served as temporary home of Triple-A East's Buffalo Bisons, as their regular stadium, Sahlen Field, was being used by the Toronto Blue Jays due to travel restrictions brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. The official seating capacity is 6,440.
Thomas B. Barlow was an American professional basketball player. He is mostly known for his time with the Philadelphia Sphas and Philadelphia Warriors of the ABL (1926–32). He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1981.

Trenton Americans were an American soccer club based in Trenton, New Jersey, who were members of the American Soccer League. After the 1947/48 season, the American Soccer League franchise of the Baltimore S.C. was purchased and moved to Trenton to become the Trenton Americans. After losing their playing field, the club was allowed to withdraw from the league following the 1950/51 season.

Albert Cooper Jr. was a former U.S. soccer goalkeeper who later served in the New Jersey General Assembly. Cooper earned two cap with the U.S. national team in 1928. The first came at the 1928 Summer Olympics when the U.S. lost to Argentina 11–2. Following this loss, the U.S. tied Poland, 3-3, on June 10, 1928. At the time of the Olympics, he played for Trenton F.C.
Russell Collier "Rusty" Saunders, was an American Major League Baseball outfielder who played in 1927 with the Philadelphia Athletics. He was born and died in Trenton, New Jersey. He batted and threw right-handed. Saunders began his professional baseball career with the Chambersburg Maroons of the Blue Ridge League in 1927. He had a .983 fielding percentage playing in 95 games as part of the Chambersburg team that won the Blue Ridge Championship that year. After the Blue Ridge League season ended, Saunders was called up to the baseball major leagues. Saunders had a .133 batting average in five games, two hits in 15 at-bats, in his brief time in the majors. He continued to play minor league baseball through the 1931 season.
