Tri-City Community Unit School District 1 a unit school district in Buffalo, Illinois, United States. Home of the Tornadoes and Tigers.
"Education: Now and For the Future" is the mission statement of the rural Tri-City Schools which became the first unified school district in Illinois formed in 1938.
Tri-City Schools, located off I-72 and 10–12 minutes from Springfield, serve a 97 square miles (250 km2) area. Primary towns include Buffalo, Dawson, and Mechanicsburg. The school and campus are located at Buffalo and house grades Pre-K - 12 in one large facility.
Pre-K-12 student enrollment is stable at 700 allowing small classes. A state-approved technology plan and use of computers are in place to provide preparation in the use of technology. A range of curricula is offered at the middle school and high school levels. Several extracurricular activities are available for students as well.

Mendota is a city in LaSalle County, Illinois, United States, in the state's north-central region. The population was 7,372 at the 2010 census, and was estimated to be 7,057 by July 2018. It is part of the Ottawa, IL Micropolitan Statistical Area. Mendota is located approximately 85 miles west of Chicago, 70 miles east of Moline and 55 miles south of Rockford. The current mayor is David W. Boelk, an independent elected to a four-year term.

Lockport is a city in Will County, Illinois, United States, located 30 miles southwest of Chicago. The city was incorporated in 1853. It is situated along the Illinois and Michigan (I&M) Canal, and was the headquarters of the canal when the canal was operating. A section of the canal runs through Lockport, including the remains of the canal's Lock No. 1 from which the town received its name. The canal right-of-way is now the Illinois and Michigan National Heritage Corridor. Because of proactive efforts dating back several years, the city of Lockport is one of the best-preserved canal sites in existence today.
LeClaire is a city in Scott County, Iowa, United States. The population was 3,765 in 2010, a 32.2% increase from 2,847 in 2000, making it one of the fastest growing communities in the Quad Cities. LeClaire is considered a suburb and part of the Quad Cities Metropolitan Area, which include the area of Davenport and Bettendorf, Iowa, and Rock Island, Moline, and East Moline, Illinois. As of 2018, LeClaire has a population estimate of 3,970.
