Kim Gang-yun, (김강윤) better known as Aquaman, is a South Korean League of Legends player who is the jungler for G2 Esports of the European League of Legends Championship Series (EU LCS). He won the 2016 Spring EU LCS and 2016 Summer EU LCS with G2. In the latter he earned the split MVP award.
League of Legends is a multiplayer online battle arena video game developed and published by Riot Games for Microsoft Windows and macOS. The game follows a freemium model and is supported by microtransactions, and was inspired by the Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne mod, Defense of the Ancients.
G2 Esports, formerly known as Gamers2, is a Spanish eSports organisation based in Berlin, Germany, with teams in League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Paladins, PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS, Hearthstone, Clash Royale, Rocket League, Rainbow Six Siege and Call of Duty.
Kim "Trick" Gang-yun joined CJ Entus as a jungle substitute in December 2014. He played his first game in July 2015 against SBENU Sonicboom during SBENU Champions Summer 2015. He is currently a substitute for Ambition. CJ Entus placed third in the regular season but lost 3-0 to the KOO Tigers in the second round of playoffs. CJ had enough circuit points to qualify for the 2015 Season Korea Regional Finals but they lost 3-2 to the Jin Air Green Wings. Trick did not play in playoffs or the regionals. Trick left the team in November. [1] [2]

CJ Entus is a South Korean StarCraft II and League of Legends eSports team which is the works team of the CJ Group chaebol. Warcraft 3 and Special Force 2 teams have been discontinued. CJ Entus began as a StarCraft: Brood War team in 2001 as ProSuma. In April 2006, CJ Group obtained the team's naming rights and it began competing in the StarCraft Proleague. On May 24, 2012, CJ Entus began sponsoring a League of Legends team to compete in the Ongamenet The Champions (LCK) league.

Jin Air Green Wings is a Korean esports organization with teams competing in StarCraft II and League of Legends. It is the works team of Korean Air -subsidiary Jin Air. The League of Legends team competes in League of Legends Champions Korea, the highest level of LoL play in Korea. It was formed in November 2011 as a StarCraft: Brood War team when three Proleague teams - Hwaesung Oz, WeMade FOX and MBCGame HERO - disbanded, and was simply known as the 8th Team initially until South Korean budget airline Jin Air became its title sponsor in July 2013.
In late December, Trick moved to Europe to and joined G2 Esports of the EU LCS, as their new starting jungler, G2 also signed Emperor and YoungBuck as coach. [3] [4] The team quickly rose to prominence and recognition in the LCS, consistently tied for first place after each week, sometimes with H2k and sometimes also with Team Vitality, until the end of the split when they held first place with sole possession. With a quarterfinal bye, the playoffs also saw them strong, as they defeated both Fnatic and Origen 3-1 to win the season and secure an invitation to the 2016 Mid-Season Invitational. [5]

Team Vitality is a French esports organisation with teams competing in League of Legends, Call of Duty, FIFA, Rainbow Six: Siege, Halo, Rocket League, H1Z1 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Team Vitality's League of Legends competes in the League of Legends European Championship (LEC), which they joined after purchasing Gambit Gaming's spot.

Fnatic is a professional esports organization headquartered in London, United Kingdom. Founded 23 July 2004, the team has players from around the world, across a variety of games, such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, Heroes of the Storm, and League of Legends.
Origen of Alexandria, also known as Origen Adamantius, was an early Christian scholar, ascetic, and theologian who was born and spent the first half of his career in Alexandria. Going into MSI, G2 Esports were seen as a favorite not to win, but to come in second place to the Korean representatives SK Telecom T1. [6] However, the team lost their first four games of the round robin and ultimately finished in fifth place, ahead of only SuperMassive eSports, and out of playoff contention - importantly, this placement meant that Europe would forfeit their Pool 1 seed at Worlds. In a statement published partway through the second day of play, G2 stated that their players had taken vacation time after a "rigorous Spring Split." AD carry Emperor later stated that there had been an internal conflict within the team one day prior to the start of the event.

SK Telecom T1 is a works team of the South Korean telecommunications company SK Telecom. At the end of 2003, SK Telecom took the StarCraft Team Orion by Lim "BoxeR" Yo-Hwan under contract and set up the team under the conglomerate's banner. Lim Yo-Hwan took the role of team captain. SK Telecom T1 is part of SK Sports, including the baseball team SK Wyverns from Incheon, the basketball team SK Knights in Seoul and Olympic champion Park Tae-Hwan. The team is also sponsored by apparel company New Balance, fast-food restaurant Kraze, and pharmaceutical companies Dong-A and Otsuka. SKT's League of Legends team won the 2013, 2015, 2016 League of Legends World Championships.

The 2016 Mid-Season Invitational was a League of Legends tournament that took place from March 4–15, 2016 in Shanghai, China. Teams qualified by winning one of seven professional leagues from across the world, with a wildcard spot being selected by an tournament with teams from outside the aforementioned leagues.
Lee Sang-hyeok, known by his in-game name "Faker", is a South Korean professional League of Legends player. Formerly known as "GoJeonPa" on the Korean server, he was picked up by SK Telecom in 2013 and is currently the mid laner for SK Telecom T1, which competes in the League of Legends Champions.
Team SoloMid (TSM) is an esports organization based in the United States. It was founded in September 2009 by Andy "Reginald" Dinh. TSM currently fields players in League of Legends, Hearthstone, Super Smash Bros., PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, Fortnite, Rocket League, and Magic: The Gathering Arena. The organization previously had a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team based in Denmark and also briefly owned an Overwatch team.

ROX Tigers, formerly known as HUYA Tigers, GE Tigers, KOO Tigers and simply Tigers, is a professional League of Legends team based in South Korea.
The League of Legends European Championship (LEC), previously known as the European League of Legends Championship Series, is the name of the professional League of Legends eSports league run by Riot Games, in which ten teams compete. Each annual season of play is divided into two splits, spring and summer, both consisting of nine weeks of round-robin tournament play, which then conclude with play-off tournaments between the top six teams. At the end of the season, the winner of the summer split, the team with the most championship points, and the winner of the gauntlet tournament qualify for the annual League of Legends World Championship. The LEC represents the highest level of League of Legends play in Europe.
Gambit Esports, also known by its former name Gambit Gaming, is a Russian esports organisation based in the United Kingdom. It was established in January 2013 after the acquisition of the former League of Legends roster of Moscow Five. The team previously had a team competing in the European League of Legends Championship Series.
Trevor Hayes, better known by the name Stixxay, is an American professional League of Legends player who is currently the AD Carry for Counter Logic Gaming of the North American League of Legends Championship Series. Stixxay started his League of Legends professional career as the starting ADC for CLG's Challenger NA team CLG Black and substitute ADC for Misfits. In the 2015 Spring Challenger Series, CLG Black and Stixxay finished 2-8. In November 2015 he was elevated to the main team, replacing Peter "Doublelift" Peng at AD Carry.
Zaqueri Black, better known by the name Aphromoo, is an American professional League of Legends player. As of 2018, he plays in the Support position for the team 100 Thieves in the North American League of Legends Championship Series. Aphromoo won the 2018 Spring Split MVP award, the first time in that award's history it has gone to a Support player.
Heo Seung-hoon, (Hangul: 허승훈) better known as Huni, is a South Korean professional League of Legends player who is the Top Laner for Clutch Gaming of the NA LCS. He has also played for Fnatic of the EU LCS, Immortals and Echo Fox of the NA LCS along with SK Telecom T1 of the LCK
Ham Jang-Sik, (함장식) better known as Lustboy, is a Korean retired professional League of Legends player and analyst. After retiring from play, he worked in 2017 as a coach for Longzhu Incredible Miracle of the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK), and will work in 2018 as a coach for NA LCS team Team SoloMid. Lustboy played for MiG Blaze through their transition though CJ Entus Blaze and CJ Entus from 2011–2014, then played for North American team Team SoloMid from 2014–2015. He retired following an injury. During his tenure there, Lustboy won the 2015 Summer North American League of Legends Championship Series with Team SoloMid as their support player.

Oh Gyu-min (오규민), better known as Ohq, is a South Korean League of Legends player who was most recently the AD Carry for NRG Esports of the North American League of Legends Championship Series. He joined the team on May 13, 2016.
Luka Perković, known as Perkz, is a Croatian League of Legends player who is the AD Carry for G2 Esports of the LEC. He was named Rookie of the Split for the 2016 Spring EU LCS, which G2 won. His name was previously styled as PerkZ.
Lucas Simon-Meslet, known as Cabochard, is a French League of Legends player who plays top laner for Team Vitality of the EU LCS. He has also played for teams including Gambit Gaming and Ninjas in Pyjamas.
The 2017 Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) was a tournament for the MOBA video game League of Legends that started on April 28, 2017, and ended on May 21, 2017 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This was the third annual Mid-Season Invitational hosted by Riot Games, and the first time MSI had been extended. Each of 13 premier League of Legends leagues had a team that won the Spring Split represent them; Europe, South Korea (LCK), and China (LPL) had their teams automatically admitted into the main event whereas the other 10 leagues competed among each other in a "Play-in Stage" with the top 3 teams advancing to join the main event. The six teams that competed in the main event were Team Solomid of NA LCS, Gigabyte Marines of GPL, Flash Wolves of LMS, G2 eSports of EU LCS, SK Telecom T1 of LCK, and Team WE of LPL.
The 2017 Spring European League of Legends Championship Series split is the fifth season and ninth split of the European League of Legends Championship Series, the highest level of professional League of Legends play in Europe. It was won by G2 Esports, with a roster of Expect, Trick, PerkZ, Zven, and Mithy and was their third EU LCS Champions title. Most games were being played at Studio K/L in Adlershof, Berlin, Germany. The finals were held at the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany.
