Polymyxin B/trimethoprim is indicated in the treatment of surface ocular bacterial infections, [4] including acute bacterial conjunctivitis, and blepharoconjunctivitis, caused by susceptible strains of the following microorganisms: Staphylococcus aureus , Staphylococcus epidermidis , Streptococcus pneumoniae , Streptococcus viridans , Haemophilus influenzae , and Pseudomonas aeruginosa .
