Troms is a county in northern Norway. It borders Finnmark county to the northeast and Nordland county in the southwest. Norrbotten Län in Sweden is located to the south and further southeast is a shorter border with Lapland Province in Finland. To the west is the Norwegian Sea. The county had a population of 169,610 in 2024.
Skjervøy Municipality is a municipality in Troms county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Skjervøy on the island of Skjervøya, where most of the inhabitants live. The main industries are fishing and shipbuilding. Other villages in the municipality include Akkarvik and Arnøyhamn.
Tromsdalen Church or the Arctic Cathedral is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Tromsø Municipality in Troms county, Norway. It is located in the Tromsdalen valley on the east side of Tromsø. It is the church for the Tromsøysund parish, which is part of the Tromsø domprosti (arch-deanery) in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The modern concrete and metal church was built in a long church style in 1965 using plans drawn up by architect Jan Inge Hovig. The church seats about 600 people.
Sandnessund Bridge is a cantilever road bridge that crosses the Sandnes Strait between the islands of Tromsøya and Kvaløya in Tromsø Municipality in Troms county, Norway. The Tromsø Bridge, the Tromsøysund Tunnel, and this bridge are the three road connections into the city of Tromsø on the island of Tromsøya.

Malangen is a former municipality in Troms county in Norway. The 372-square-kilometre (144 sq mi) municipality existed from 1871 until its dissolution in 1964. The old municipality surrounded the Malangen fjord and today that area is divided between several municipalities: Balsfjord, Lenvik, Tromsø, and Målselv. The administrative centre was the village of Mortenhals where the main church for the municipality, Malangen Church, is located.

It lies in the Tromsøysundet strait between the mainland and the larger island of Kvaløya. The city of Tromsø is located on the 21.7-square-kilometre (8.4 sq mi) island, which has 39,882 residents. The island is connected to the Tromsdalen area on the mainland to the east by the Tromsø Bridge and Tromsøysund Tunnel, and to the village of Kvaløysletta on Kvaløya island to the west by the Sandnessund Bridge.
Tromsøysund is a former municipality in Troms county in Norway. The 1,530-square-kilometre (590 sq mi) municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1964. The municipality encompassed most of what is now Tromsø Municipality including areas on the island of Kvaløya and on the mainland. It completely surrounded the city of Tromsø, both on a number of islands as well as on the mainland. The municipality included the villages of Bjerkaker, Tromsdalen, and Movik. The administrative centre was the village of Tromsdalen, just across the strait from the city of Tromsø.

The Tromsøysund Tunnel is an undersea highway tunnel in Tromsø Municipality in Troms county, Norway. The tunnel runs under the Tromsøysundet strait, connecting the island of Tromsøya with the mainland suburb of Tromsdalen.
Tromsøysundet (Norwegian) or Romssanuorri (Northern Sami) is a strait located in Tromsø Municipality in Troms county, Norway. The 11-kilometre (6.8 mi) long strait separates the island of Tromsøya from the mainland east of the island. The strait is crossed by the Tromsøysund Tunnel and by the Tromsø Bridge. The strait ranges from about 0.6–3 kilometres (0.4–1.9 mi) wide. The strait connects to the Balsfjorden and Straumsfjorden to the south and into the Kvalsundet and Grøtsundet straits to the north.

It is the church for the Elverhøy parish which is part of the Tromsø domprosti (arch-deanery) in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The mainland suburb of Tromsdalen is connected to the city centre on Tromsøya by the Tromsø Bridge and the Tromsøysund Tunnel. The suburb of Kvaløysletta on the island of Kvaløya is connected to the city centre by the Sandnessund Bridge.
