Troy Benson (born June 8, 1970) is an American freestyle skier. He competed in the men's moguls event at the 1994 Winter Olympics. [1]

Laos at the 2012 Summer Olympics Sporting event delegation

Laos competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London when the event took place from 27 July to 12 August 2012. It was the nation's eighth overall appearance following their Olympic debut in 1980. Laos had previously competed in seven consecutive Olympics prior to London apart from the 1984 Summer Olympics boycott. Two athletes and one swimmer were selected to the Laotian Olympic team after the country did not qualify any competitors. Sprinter Kilakone Siphonexay was the nation's flag bearer at the opening and closing ceremonies. At the Olympics, Siphonexay and runner Laenly Phoutthavong failed to advance in the 100 m heats while swimmer Phathana Inthavong did not reach farther than the 50 m freestyle heats. Overall, Inthavong had the highest ranking for Laos in 2012 with a 56th place finish.

William Benson is a New Zealand swimmer, who specialised in freestyle and fly events. He represented New Zealand at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, and competed as part of the men's national swimming team for the men's 4 × 100 m freestyle relay. Benson joined the team, along with compatriots Cameron Gibson, Mark Herring, and Orinoco Faamausili-Banse, and swam in the third leg of the competition, with an individual split time of 48.65 seconds. He and his swimming team placed sixth in the first heat, and eleventh overall, for a total time of 3:15.41.

Siarhei Mikalaievich Borchanka is a retired amateur Belarusian freestyle wrestler, who competed in the men's light heavyweight category. He finished fourth in the 84-kg division at the 2003 World Wrestling Championships in New York City, New York, United States, and later represented his nation Belarus at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Borchanka also trained as a member of the freestyle wrestling team for Dynamo Hrodna, under his personal coach Stsiapan Buikevich.

Shamil Aliev is a retired amateur Tajik freestyle wrestler, who competed in the men's light heavyweight category. Representing his naturalized nation Tajikistan, Aliev won a bronze medal in the 84-kg division at the 2002 Asian Games in Busan, South Korea, scored a silver at the 2003 Asian Wrestling Championships in New Delhi, India, and then finished eighth at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Aliev is also a member of the wrestling team for Trade Union Sports Club in Makhachkala, before competing for the Tajik squad in 2002.
