Mongolia Landlocked country in East Asia

Mongolia is a landlocked country in East Asia. Its area is roughly equivalent with the historical territory of Outer Mongolia, and that term is sometimes used to refer to the current state. It is sandwiched between China to the south and Russia to the north. Mongolia does not share a border with Kazakhstan, although only 37 kilometres (23 mi) separates them.

History

UFC Group was founded in 1942 under the name "Idesh tejeeliin kombinat" (Идэш тэжээлийн комбинат, literally "foodstuffs combine") as a state-owned enterprise of the Mongolian People's Republic, located in Uvs Province. It remained in government hands until 1997, when it was bought out by private owners and renamed "Uvs hüns" (Увс хүнс, literally "Uvs foods"). As it expanded its businesses it began using its present name UFC Group in 2006. [1] In 2011, the Mongolian Chamber of Commerce and Industry named UFC Group as one of Mongolia's top ten companies. [2]

Mongolian Peoples Republic 1924–1992 republic in Northeastern Asia

The Mongolian People's Republic was a unitary sovereign socialist state which existed between 1924 and 1992, coterminous with the present-day country of Mongolia in East Asia. It was ruled by the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party and maintained close links with the Soviet Union throughout its history. Geographically, it was bordered by China to its south and the Soviet Union to its north.

Uvs Province Province in Mongolia

Uvs is one of the 21 aimags (provinces) of Mongolia. It is located in the west of the country, 1,336 kilometres or 830 miles away from the national capital Ulaanbaatar. Its capital is Ulaangom which lies 936 metres or 3,070 feet above sea level.

Products

UFC produces and distributes a variety of products including vodka, soft drinks, bread, biscuits, and iodised salt. [1] Their premium vodka brand is known as "Chingis Silver"; singer B. Sarantuyaa has appeared in promotional activities for it. [4] Another vodka brand of theirs, "Moritoi Chingis" (Морьтой Чингис, literally "Chingis Khan on a horse") received a "Grand Gold" designation from Brussels-based Monde Selection in both 2010 and 2011. [5] The Mongolian Ministry of Nature, Environment and Tourism lists it as one of Mongolia's famous brands. [6]

Sarantuya (Mongolian: Батмөнхийн Сарантуяа, known simply as Saraa, is a Mongolian mezzo-soprano singer who has been a major figure in the pop music scene of the Mongol people since the late 1980s. She is still very popular among the Mongolian population, and is recognized as the queen of Mongolian pop music. Saraa is the highest-selling Mongolian artist of all time, with hits like "Torson Odriin Bayar", "Bi Jargaltai", "Argagui Amrag", and others.

Brussels Capital region of Belgium

Brussels, officially the Brussels-Capital Region, is a region of Belgium comprising 19 municipalities, including the City of Brussels, which is the capital of Belgium. Monde Selection is an annual non-competitive award open to food, drinks, and cosmetics products, created in 1961. It is run by the commercial company, International Institute for Quality Selections, Brussels, Belgium. Consumer products are tasted and tested in order to grant them a quality label awarded by the "International Quality Institute".

Charity work

In 2011 UFC distributed foodstuffs to senior citizens during the Tsagaan Sar festivities. [7]

The Mongolian Lunar New Year, commonly known as Tsagaan Sar, is the first day of the year according to the Mongolian lunisolar calendar. The festival of the Lunar New Year is celebrated by the Mongols along with the people in the Arctic and some Turkic peoples.

A zud or dzud is a Mongolian term for a severe winter in which large number of livestock die, primarily due to starvation due to being unable to graze, in other cases directly from the cold. There are various kinds of zud, including white zud, which is an extremely snowy winter in which livestock are unable to find nourishing foodstuff through the snow cover and starve.

The Dörbet is the second largest subgroup of Mongol people in modern Mongolia and was formerly one of the major tribes of the Four Oirat confederation in the 15th-18th centuries. In early times, the Dörbet and the Dzungars were ruled by collateral branches of the Choros. The Dörbets are distributed among the western provinces of Mongolia, Kalmykia, and in a small portion in Heilongjiang, China. In modern-day Mongolia, the Dörbets are centered in Uvs Province.

Cîroc trademark

CÎROC is a brand of eau-de-vie vodka, manufactured by using grapes from the Charente-Maritime region of France. It is produced and distributed by the British-based multinational alcoholic beverage maker Diageo. Since 2007, marketing and promotion for Cîroc has been handled by Sean "Puffy" Combs in an "equal-share venture" with profits from the brand being split between promotional partner Puffy and manufacturing partner Diageo.

Uvs Lake salt lake

Uvs Lake is a highly saline lake in an endorheic basin - Uvs Nuur Basin in Mongolia with a small part in Russia. It is the largest lake in Mongolia by surface area, covering 3,350 km² at 759 m above sea level. The northeastern tip of the lake is situated in the Tuva Republic of the Russian Federation. The largest settlement near the lake is Ulaangom. This shallow and very saline body of water is a remainder of a huge saline sea which covered a much larger area several thousand years ago.

China Mengniu Dairy Company Limited is a manufacturing and distribution company of dairy products and ice cream in the People's Republic of China. The company is based in Inner Mongolia and manufactures dairy products under the Mengniu brand.

Egypt–Mongolia relations

Egypt–Mongolia relations date back to the wars between Egypt and the Mongol Empire from 1260 to 1335 AD. Official relations between the modern states were established in 1964. Cairo currently hosts Mongolia's only embassy on the African continent. The countries have signed various agreements on bilateral cooperation.

Uvs Lake Basin is an endorheic basin located on the territorial border of Mongolia and Tuva, a republic of the Russian Federation. The basin is part of the Central Asian Internal Drainage Basin and is named after Uvs Lake, a large saline lake situated in the western part of its drainage basin. Uvs Lake is a shallow lake with an area of 3,350 km2 (1,290 sq mi). Its entire basin, which includes several smaller lakes, is 70,000 km2 (27,000 sq mi).

Stolichnaya is a vodka made of wheat and rye grain. A well-known Soviet brand, the ownership of Stolichnaya has been disputed since the dissolution of the Soviet Union between Russian state-owned company FKP Soyuzplodimport and SPI Group, a private company founded and owned by Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler.

Tavan Bogd Group is a Mongolian conglomerate with 14 subsidiaries and four affiliates in trades and services, manufacturing, financial services and mining supplies along with restaurant, tourism and hospitality businesses in Mongolia. Established in 1995, Tavan Bogd Group is one of the largest corporations in Mongolia, officially representing some of the world’s best-known brands such as Toyota, Volkswagen, Hitachi mining equipment, Colgate Palmolive, TOTO, L’Occitane, KFC, Pizza Hut, Bridgestone, Heinz, Funai, Xerox and Double A. Drinks Americas is a beverage distribution company based out of Wilton, Connecticut. Drinks Americas Holdings, Ltd., develops, owns, markets, and internationally distributes alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages associated with celebrities.

Bong Spirit Vodka

Bong Spirit Vodka is a super premium vodka, sold in a bottle shaped like a bong. It is made from European grain, distilled six times and filtered through four processes, using reverse osmosis and charcoal filtering. It is distributed in the United States by Southern Wine & Spirits, Glazer’s, and Republic National.

Chinggis is a brand of vodka from Mongolia, produced by UFC Group and introduced in 2009. It was awarded double gold in the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2011 and gold medals in the Prod Expo 2009 and the Monde Selection 2010. In Mongolia, Chinggis vodka accounts for 30% of the spirits market.

Hunnu Air Mongolian airline

Hunnu Air is a Mongolian domestic airline that began scheduled flights in 2011. The company changed its name from Mongolian Airlines Group in April 2013 to avoid confusion with the similarly named Mongolian international flag carrier MIAT Mongolian Airlines.

Newcom Group

Newcom Group is a Mongolian investment company. Its portfolio includes MobiCom Corporation, the first and the largest mobile telecommunications company in Mongolia, and Eznis Airways, the largest domestic airline in Mongolia. Newcom built the first wind farm in Mongolia, with a capacity of 50 MW.

APU Company

APU, or translated as "Vodka, Beer, Soft drinks", is Mongolia's oldest company and the country’s largest brewer and beverage producer.

Anu Namshir born April 12, 1991 is a Mongolian model, graphic designer and beauty pageant titleholder who represented Mongolia at the Miss International 2013, Miss Manzhouli 2014, World Bikini Model 2015, Asian Star Model 2015 Supermodel International 2015, Miss World 2015, Miss Tourism Queen International 2016 pageant. She won the Miss Mongolia 2013 title and was later crowned as World Bikini Model International 2014 and Miss Manzhouli 2014 (winner) in China, Asian Star Model 2015 Supermodel International 2015 (winner) in Korea and Miss World Mongolia 2015. And then she represented Mongolia in the Miss World 2015. On September 26, 2016 she was crowned Miss Tourism Queen International 2016 and awarded Miss Charity. And then December 1, 2016, she has participated first in Goyol 2017 which was organized by Mongolian Designers Association annually was awarded "Photo Model". She worked at Mongolia's Next Top Model show 14th number representing Z24 online ticket reservation through Z24 face.
