The UIC Flames men's soccer team represents the University of Illinois at Chicago in all NCAA Division I men's college soccer competitions. The Flames previously played in the Horizon League, but moved to the Missouri Valley Conference on July 1, 2022. [2]

The Mid-American Conference (MAC) is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I collegiate athletic conference with a membership base in the Great Lakes region that stretches from Western New York to Illinois. Nine of the twelve full member schools are in Ohio and Michigan, with single members located in Illinois, Indiana, and New York. For football, the MAC participates in the NCAA's Football Bowl Subdivision.
The University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) is a public research university in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Its campus is in the Near West Side community area, adjacent to the Chicago Loop. The Summit League, or The Summit, is an NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletic conference with its membership mostly located in the Midwestern United States, from Minnesota in the east, to the Dakotas, Nebraska and Colorado to the West, and Missouri and Oklahoma to the South. Founded as the Association of Mid-Continent Universities in 1982, it rebranded as the Mid-Continent Conference in 1989, then again as the Summit League on June 1, 2007. The league headquarters are in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
The Missouri Valley Conference is the fourth-oldest collegiate athletic conference in the United States. The conference's members are primarily located in the Midwest though with substantial extension into the South in states like Kentucky, Tennessee, and Arkansas.
The UIC Flames are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent the University of Illinois Chicago, located in Chicago, Illinois, in intercollegiate sports as a member of the Division I level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), primarily competing in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) since the 2022–23 academic year. The Flames previously competed in the D-I Horizon League from 1994–95 to 2021–22; in the D-I Mid-Continent Conference from 1982–83 to 1993–94; as an NCAA D-I Independent during the 1981–82 school year; and in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) from 1949–50 to about 1980–81. Michael Lipitz joined UIC in October 2019 as the athletic director.
The UIC Flames baseball team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of the University of Illinois at Chicago in Chicago, Illinois, United States. The team is a member of the Missouri Valley Conference, which is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. The team plays its home games at Les Miller Field at Curtis Granderson Stadium in Chicago, Illinois. The Flames are coached by Sean McDermott and assisted by hitting coach Jimmy “no hips” Frankos.

The 2016 Horizon League men's soccer tournament was the 29th edition of the tournament. It determined the Horizon League's automatic berth into the 2016 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship. UIC enter the tournament as the defending champions.
The 2017 Horizon League men's soccer tournament was the 30th edition of the competition. The tournament determined the year's Horizon League men's college soccer champion, as well as the conference's automatic berth in the 2017 NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament, which determines the national champion of college soccer for the season.

Within those areas, the lists identify single-game, single-season, and career leaders. The Flames represent the University of Illinois Chicago in the NCAA Division I Missouri Valley Conference.
The 2021 NCAA Division I men's soccer season was the 63rd season of NCAA championship men's college soccer. After the 2020 NCAA Division I men's soccer season was disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 season partially returned to normal. However, despite the development of several vaccines, the pandemic was still ongoing, which might have led to various local or regional disruptions. Also, many conferences did not fully return to their pre-COVID state, with several having changed postseason tournament formats.

The Flames, led by third-year head coach Luke Yaklich, played their home games at Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago, Illinois as first-year members of the Missouri Valley Conference. They finished the season 12–19, 4–16 in MVC play to finish in eleventh place. They lost to Missouri State in the opening round of the MVC tournament.
The 2022 Missouri Valley Conference women's soccer tournament was the postseason women's soccer tournament for the Missouri Valley Conference held from October 27 through November 6, 2022. The Opening round and Second round was held at campus sites. The semifinals and finals took place at Brown Field in Valparaiso, Indiana. The eight-team single-elimination tournament consisted of four rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The defending champions were the Loyola Ramblers, who did not defend their title as they moved to the A-10 Conference. The tournament champions were the Missouri State Bears who defeated Murray State 1–0 in the final. The conference tournament title was the third for the Missouri State women's soccer program, and first for head coach Kirk Nelson. The championship was the first since 2017 for Missouri State. As tournament champions, Missouri State earned the Missouri Valley's automatic berth into the 2022 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament.
The 2022 Missouri Valley Conference men's soccer tournament was the postseason men's soccer tournament for the Missouri Valley Conference held from November 6 through November 13, 2022. The First Round was held at campus sites. The semifinals and finals took place at Betty & Bobby Allison South Stadium in Springfield, Missouri. The seven-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The defending champions were the Missouri State Bears, who successfully defended their title by defeating Evansville 1–0 in the final. This was the second straight year that Missouri State and Evansville played in the title game. The conference tournament title was the fourth, and third in a row for the Missouri State men's soccer program, and third for head coach Michael Seabolt. As tournament champions, Missouri State earned the Missouri Valley's automatic berth into the 2022 NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament.
The 2023 Missouri Valley Conference men's soccer tournament was the postseason men's soccer tournament for the Missouri Valley Conference held from November 5 through November 11, 2023. The First Round was held at campus sites. The semifinals and finals took place at WMU Soccer Complex in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The six-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The defending champions were the Missouri State Bears They were unable to defend their title, losing in the final to the Western Michigan Broncos This was the first conference tournament title for the Western Michigan men's soccer program, as the joined the conference in 2023. Western Michigan had two MAC conference tournament titles prior to joining the MVC. It was also Chad Wiseman's first MVC title as head coach, previously having one in the MAC. As tournament champions, Western Michigan earned the Missouri Valley's automatic berth into the 2023 NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament.
