UMTV is a British radio and television production company set up by Chris Evans in 2002.

Christopher James Evans is an English television presenter, radio DJ, businessman, voice actor and producer for radio and television. He started his broadcasting career working for Piccadilly Radio, Manchester, as a teenager, before moving to London as a presenter for the BBC's Greater London Radio and then Channel 4 television, where The Big Breakfast made him a star. Soon he was able to dictate highly favourable terms, allowing him to broadcast on competing radio and TV stations. Slots like the Radio 1 Breakfast Show and TFI Friday provided a mix of celebrity interviews, music and comic games, delivered in an irreverent style that attracted high ratings, though often also generated significant numbers of complaints. By 2000 he was the UK's highest paid entertainer, according to the Sunday Times Rich List. In the tax year to April 2017, he was the BBC's highest paid presenter, earning between £2.2m and £2.25m annually.

In 2007 UMTV Chris Evans left UMTV.

The company's back catalogue of shows include Boys and Girls (Channel 4), The Terry and Gaby Show (Channel 5), Johnny Vegas: 18 Stone of Idiot (Channel 4/E4), OFI Sunday (ITV1), Live With Christian O'Connell and Live With Chris Moyles (Channel 5) and School of Hard Knocks (Channel 4) which won a BAFTA back in 2005.

Boys and Girls was a British television gameshow broadcast in 2003 by Channel 4.

Channel 4 British public-service television broadcaster

Channel 4 is a British public-service free-to-air television network that began transmission on 2 November 1982. Although largely commercially- self-funded, it is ultimately publicly-owned; originally a subsidiary of the Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA), the station is now owned and operated by Channel Four Television Corporation, a public corporation of the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, which was established in 1990 and came into operation in 1993. With the conversion of the Wenvoe transmitter group in Wales to digital terrestrial broadcasting on 31 March 2010, Channel 4 became a UK-wide TV channel for the first time.

<i>The Terry and Gaby Show</i> television series

The Terry and Gaby Show was a daytime television show broadcast on Five on weekday mornings between June 2003 and April 2004, produced by Chris Evans' company UMTV. It was hosted by Terry Wogan and Gaby Roslin.

UMTV has produced a series of shows including the 2007 Red Bull X-Fighters World Series 2007 for ITV4, ITV Mobiles/ITV2 The Hot Desk, Red Bull Flugtag London 2008 for ITV1/ITV4 and the Red Bull X-Fighters World Series 2008 for Dave.

ITV2 television channel in the United Kingdom, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands

ITV2 is a British free-to-air television channel owned by ITV Digital Channels Ltd, a division of ITV plc. It was launched on 7 December 1998 and is available digitally via satellite, cable, IPTV and terrestrial (Freeview) platforms. For a number of years, it had the largest audience share after the five analogue terrestrial stations, a claim now held by its sister service ITV3 both of which are freely available to a majority of households.

Red Bull Flugtag

Red Bull Flugtag is an event organized by Red Bull in which competitors attempt to fly home-made, human-powered flying machines, size-limited to around 10 metres (33 ft), weight-limited to approximately 150 kilograms (330 lb). The flying machines are usually launched off a pier about 9 metres (30 ft) high into the sea or body of water. Most competitors enter for the entertainment value, and the flying machines rarely fly at all.

ITV4

ITV4 is a British free-to-air television station which was launched on 1 November 2005. It is owned by ITV Digital Channels Ltd, a division of ITV plc, and is part of the ITV network. The channel has a male-orientated line-up, including sport, police shows and US comedies and dramas, as well as classic ITV action series of the 1960s and 1970s. ITV4 is broadcast on digital terrestrial, satellite, cable and IPTV platforms.

In 2014 UMTV.TV produced over 20 hours of original broadcast TV in the UK.

In 2015 UMTV.TV will be producing its 8th series of Red Bull X-Fighters on Dave, its 2nd series of Red Bull Cliff Diving, an 8th series of The Hot Desk and a 2nd Series of The Red Bull Soapbox

The Hot Desk is a British music interview show that has been hosted by a number of presenters including Nicole Appleton, Melanie Blatt, Dave Berry, Emma Willis, Laura Whitmore, Sarah Jane Crawford and Alice Levine. The show was produced for ITV by UMTV.TV.

<i>TFI Friday</i> television series

TFI Friday is an entertainment show that was broadcast on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom. It was produced by Ginger Productions, written by Danny Baker and hosted by Chris Evans, for the first five series. The sixth series was hosted by a number of guest presenters. The show was broadcast on Fridays at 6pm from 9 February 1996 to 22 December 2000, with a repeat later that night. Its theme tune was Ron Grainer's theme from Man in a Suitcase, in keeping with Evans' frequent use of 1960s television themes in his work.
