Eino Leino was a Finnish poet and journalist who is considered one of the pioneers of Finnish poetry and a national poet of Finland. His poems combine modern and Finnish folk elements. Much of his work is in the style of the Kalevala and folk songs in general. Nature, love, and despair are frequent themes in Leino's work. He is beloved and widely read in Finland today.
Värttinä is a Finnish folk music band that started as a project by Sari and Mari Kaasinen in 1983 in the village of Rääkkylä, in Karelia, the southeastern region of Finland. Many transformations have taken place in the band since then. Värttinä shot into fame with the release of their 1991 album Oi Dai. As of 2009, the band consists of three lead female vocalists supported by three acoustic musicians. The vocalists sing in the Karelian dialect of the Finnish language.

During the European early Middle Ages, the earliest text in a Finnic language is the unique thirteenth-century Birch bark letter no. 292 from Novgorod. The text was written in Cyrillic and represented a dialect of Finnic language spoken in Russian Olonets region. The earliest texts in Finland were written in Swedish or Latin during the Finnish Middle Age. Finnish-language literature was slowly developing from the 16th century onwards, after written Finnish was established by the Bishop and Finnish Lutheran reformer Mikael Agricola (1510–1557). He translated the New Testament into Finnish in 1548.
Vesa-Pekka Vasara is a Finnish professional football manager for Veikkausliiga club Inter Turku, and a former player who played for the Veikkausliiga sides HJK Helsinki, FC Jokerit, FF Jaro, and FC Honka, as well as for Kalmar FF in Sweden. He was also capped 12 times for the Finland national team, scoring twice.

The main protagonists are Mari Saari, an undercover Supo officer and Timo Viita, a narcotics superintendent who investigate the activities of Madina Taburova, a wanted terrorist, who has arrived in Helsinki as a drug mule. A ruthless criminal, Juri Borodin, or "ghost", pursues Madina for his own schemes.
How to Kill a Bull is a five-part Finnish television miniseries directed by Jussi Niilekselä, originally broadcast in 1989 on Yle TV2. It is based on the 1984 novel of the same name by Anna-Leena Härkönen. The miniseries is produced by Yleisradio. The miniseries was later published by the director as three-part 50-minute episodes.
Mister 8 is a Finnish eight-part comedy drama series directed by Teemu Nikki and written by Vesa Virtanen and Nikki and based on an idea by Nikki and Jani Pösö. All episodes were released on Elisa Viihde Viaplay on 31 January 2021. The series is about Maria, who has seven dates – one for each day of the week, until the eight man, Juho, affects her relationship. Juho wants Maria to himself and tries to get the other men out of the arrangement.
