The UniTeam Alliance is an electoral alliance in the Philippines formed to support the candidacies of Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte in the 2022 presidential and vice-presidential elections and their allies in the 2022 Philippine general election. [5] [6] [7] [8] The alliance was formalized on November 29, 2021, with Senator Imee Marcos coining the name UniTeam. [9]

In addition, the alliance's senatorial slate features guest candidates from the Nacionalista Party, Kilusang Bagong Lipunan (KBL), Nationalist People's Coalition (NPC), PDP–Laban, and People's Reform Party (PRP). Except for the NPC, all of the aforementioned parties are allied with Marcos and Duterte. [17]

Often included in Solid North are the provinces in the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), and Cagayan Valley. The regions are considered to be a conservative/right-wing bastion for the country.

She is the third female vice president, the third vice president to come from Mindanao, and the youngest vice president in Philippine history. Duterte is also the secretary of education, holding the post in a concurrent capacity. A daughter of 16th president Rodrigo Duterte, she previously served as the mayor of Davao City from 2016 to 2022, and from 2010 to 2013. She was also Davao City's vice mayor from 2007 to 2010.

A member of the Nacionalista Party, he was the Representative of Las Piñas from 2010 to 2016. Villar has also previously held executive positions in his family's businesses.

Rodante Dizon Marcoleta is a Filipino politician serving as the party-list representative for SAGIP since 2016. He is a former House Deputy Speaker of the 18th Congress from 2019 to 2022. A successful member of the religious organization Iglesia ni Cristo, Marcoleta is one of the vocal opponents against ABS-CBN and Meralco one of the 70 representatives who voted to permanently deny the franchise renewal of the network and 70 representatives who voted to permanently deny the franchise renewal of the electricity as well as responsible for the termination of ABS-CBN Meralco and TV5's landmark partnership deal. Marcoleta is also the host of Net 25 public affairs program, Sa Ganang Mamamayan.

The 2022 presidential campaign of Leni Robredo began on October 7, 2021, when she filed her candidacy for the 2022 Philippine presidential election. At the time of her filing, Leni Robredo was the incumbent vice president of the Philippines, to remain so until June 30, 2022. Robredo was also formerly a representative of Camarines Sur's 3rd congressional district, from 2013 to 2016.

The party of President Rodrigo Duterte, PDP–Laban, had two candidates to succeed the head executive. These were senators Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa and Christopher "Bong" Go who had non-simultaneous presidential campaigns.

The chief justice of the Supreme Court Alexander Gesmundo administered the oath of office, a first in 18 years, since the previous two presidential oaths were administered by an associate justice.
