United States U18 Curling Championships

Beginning in 2017, USA Curling began a U18 National Championship to further promote the sport of curling. Teams qualify through the a regional playdown process, utilizing USCA 10 geographic regions. The U18 Nationals is also one of USCA twelve National Championship events.

Eligibility

Any player who is less than 18 years of age at any time during the 30th day of June of the year immediately preceding the year the competition is to take place, and is a resident (no minimum residency required) of the United States as of registration deadline. All players must be members of a USCA member club within the registered region.

The 2020 United States Mixed Doubles Curling Championship was held from February 27 to March 1 at the Bemidji Curling Club in Bemidji, Minnesota. The twelve teams were divided into two pools of six teams each. Each pool played a full round robin with the top three from each pool proceeding to the playoffs. The winning team of Tabitha Peterson and Joe Polo was supposed to represent the United States at the 2020 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Kelowna, Canada but the event got cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They will instead compete at the 2021 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Aberdeen, Scotland as the 2021 U.S. Mixed Doubles National Championship was postponed due to the pandemic.

Sydney Mullaney is an American curler from Concord, Massachusetts. She currently plays second on Team Delaney Strouse. She is a two-time champion of the United States Junior Curling Championships, going on to win the bronze medal at the 2022 World Junior Curling Championships and the 2023 Winter World University Games. She also won the 2019 United States Mixed Curling Championship.

Susan Dudt is an American curler from Malvern, Pennsylvania. She is currently the alternate on Team Delaney Strouse. She is a two-time champion of the United States Junior Curling Championships, going on to win the bronze medal at the 2022 World Junior Curling Championships and the 2023 Winter World University Games.
