Universities and Colleges of Luzon Athletic Association

The Universities and Colleges of Luzon Athletic Association (UCLAA), is a sports league that have member school teams from the Luzon area.

History

The league opened its first season on November 25, 2008 with competition in men’s and juniors basketball and women’s volleyball. Two new members joined the second season of the Universities and Colleges of Luzon Athletic Association (UCLAA) which opened on November 20, 2009. Manuel L. Quezon University, which topped the pre-season basketball tournament in September, and Central Colleges of the Philippines bring to nine the total number of squads in the league that cater to all Luzon-based schools.

Initiated by inaugural season host Saint Francis of Assisi College System (SFAC), National College of Business and Arts (NCBA), Olivarez College-Tagaytay (OC-Tagaytay) and the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMUN), the UCLAA aims to raise sports consciousness and promote excellence in sports competition among the youth enrolled in colleges and universities.

Season 8 was formally opened on December 7, 2015 at the Marikina Sports Complex. Collegio de San Lorenzo was this season's host. Basketball and Volleyball were the primary sports of the season.

In 2016, UCLAA merged with the National Capital Region Athletic Association to become the NCR-UCL Athletic Association. The merger however lasted for only one season.

National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities

The National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (NAASCU) is an athletic association of colleges and universities in the Philippines. It was established in 2001.

The Women's National Collegiate Athletic Association (WNCAA) is an athletic association in the Philippines exclusively for women. It was founded in 1970. Competition is divided into three divisions: Seniors for college students, Juniors for high school students, and Midgets for grade school and first year high school students. Its men's counterpart is the Men's National Collegiate Athletic Association, founded in 2004.

The National Collegiate Athletic Association – South is an athletic association of colleges and universities mostly coming from NCR and Calabarzon regions of the Philippines. It was established on 1999 by sister schools of the NCAA.

Letran Knights


The Letran Knights are the collegiate varsity teams representing Colegio de San Juan de Letran in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The collegiate women's varsity teams are called the Lady Knights, while the high school varsity teams are called the Squires.

Saint Francis of Assisi College

Saint Francis of Assisi College (SFAC) is a system of private, Catholic-oriented but non-sectarian Philippine educational institutions, offering complete education from pre-school up to the graduate or masteral level of education. The main campus is situated in Las Piñas, Metro Manila.

College basketball in the Philippines is fragmented; as of today there is no single governing body, with several leagues in Metro Manila and in the provinces. The University Athletic Association of the Philippines and National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) champions are considered to be the major champions, although several other leagues, claim their champions in equal standing with those of the UAAP and the NCAA.

The National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) is an athletic association in Metro Manila, Philippines established in 1993. It is primarily held during the second semester of a school around November until February. The 23rd season of the NCRAA was opened on January 23, 2016 at the DLSU-D Gym in Dasmariñas, Cavite. De La Salle-Dasmariñas is the tournament host for this season.

Colegio de San Lorenzo

Colegio de San Lorenzo (CDSL) is a private Catholic college located in Barangay Bahay Toro, Quezon City and in Macabebe, Pampanga. It opened in 1988 in Quezon City and the branch in the founder's hometown of Macabebe opened in 1996.

The Men's National Collegiate Athletic Association is an athletic association in the Philippines, and is the direct counterpart of the older Women's National Collegiate Athletic Association. The Men's National Collegiate Athletic Association (MNCAA) is exclusive for men. The MNCAA was founded in 2004. Philippine Collegiate Champions League

NCAA Season 87 is the 2011–2012 season of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) of the Philippines. It was formally introduced in 2015 in San Fernando, Pampanga coinciding with the formal opening of the 8th season.

The NCR-UCL Athletic Association was a collegiate sports league based in the Philippines. The NCRUCLAA was a result of the merger between the two fledgling leagues, the National Capital Region Athletic Association and the Universities and Colleges of Luzon Athletic Association, in 2016. Lack of teams played in the both leagues were the main reason of the merger.

NCAA Season 96 is the 2020–21 athletic year of the National Collegiate Athletic Association in the Philippines. The season host will be Colegio de San Juan de Letran, coincidentally also celebrating its 400th anniversary.
