University of Agricultural Engineering, Valladolid, is a university run by the Society of Jesus which began in 1964 as the Nevares Institute of Agricultural Employers (INEA). It is currently affiliated with the University of Valladolid.[ citation needed ]

History

The Nevares Institute of Agricultural Employers (INEA) was founded in 1964 in Valladolid by Jose Fernandez Quintanilla, as a response to the absence of people with entrepreneurial training in the farming community. The institute was named after the Sisinio Nevares who founded Catholic Trade Unions in the 1930s.[ citation needed ]

In 1965 the Institute received Ministerial recognition and was attached to the School of Agronomists of Madrid, for its three-year undergraduate course.[ citation needed ] The course was called Intermediate Level in Agricultural Engineering in Management of Agricultural Companies until 1981 when the INEA became affiliated with the University of Valladolid. In these first 16 years it had educated 1,960 students. From the start in 1965 INEA offered distance learning classes, accommodating 2,675 students by 1992. From 1977 until 1990 the school also graduated 240 students in vocational training ("First Grade Agrario") in agriculture.[ citation needed ]

The University of Southern Mindanao, formerly Mindanao Institute of Technology (MIT), is a university in the Southern Philippines. The University of the State of Paraná is an institution of higher education administered by the Government of the state of Paraná, with a headquartered in the city of Paranavaí, It has campuses in the cities of Curitiba, Apucarana, Campo Mourão, Paranaguá, Paranavaí, São José dos Pinhais and União da Vitória, created by State Law nº 13.283, on October 25, 2001, changed by State law nº 13.358 on December 21, 2001, State Law nº 15.300 on September 28, 2006 and by State Law nº 17.590 on June 12, 2013. Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education

The Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education is a statutory body in Sri Lanka coming under the purview of the Higher Education Ministry and offering Higher National Diploma courses. At present, it manages and supervises eighteen provincial Advanced Technological Institutes throughout the island. The Institute is traditionally known for its education in the accountancy and engineering. As per the recommendations of the Committee appointed by Prof. Wiswa Waranapala, Deputy Minister of Higher Education in 1994, the Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technical Education (SLIATE) was formed in 1995, under the Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technical Education Act No. 29 of 1995. In 2001 the name of the institution was amended as Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education (SLIATE).
